Works as advertised; great product.
Love this stuff. Puts red highlights in even my dark brown thick hair. I use it once a week as a conditioner and have gotten tons of compliments. I no longer dye all my hair due to cost in time and money and decided to simply try this and see how it turned out. Been using it consistently for over a year and have gone through about three bottles. It is a little expensive for the amount you get but you don't have to use too much to get the color to deposit. I do water aerobics 2-3 times a week so I wash my hair each time and the color stays. It was exactly the color I was looking for too as others were either too pink or too magenta. It gives me a natural reddish highlights that my own mother thought were professionally done.

Great color depositing gloss
This gloss has a pleasant scent and provides rich color. It lasts around two weeks, depending on how frequently you wash your hair. While it leaves the hair relatively smooth, keep in mind that it can stain towels, so it's best to use a separate one for your head. I have purchased this product multiple times and will continue to do so.

I made the mistake... however..
So I've done a color depositing gloss before and it was great. Just like the other one, which was a different brand, this one left my hair soft and smooth and shiny. I purchased the copper color because I wanted a nice copper tint to the brown sections of my hair. I also have blonde sections in my hair that I had separated out last time. Here is where my mistake comes in: I did not separate out the blonde and it definitely took the color. My issue though is the product was a nice coppery brown coming out of the bottle and the brown sections of my hair look nice and coppery. The blonde sections however turned literally clown wig red. BRIGHT CLOWN WIG RED. Like there is no blending the red into the brown and it looking nice. I did that on Tuesday. Today is Friday of the same week and since then I've been washing my hair every day - something I never do, its usually 2 days a week are for washing hair - and using a detox shampoo and a regular shampoo. The bright red is now a bright peachy-red.If I were already on maternity leave it wouldn't be such a big deal, but I'm still a few weeks out and still working. My bad... sorta...

Excellent results for a semi permanent gloss
I wanted to reduce exposure to the toxic chemicals in salon color for health and wellness reasons. This turns out to be a fantastic alternative. I’m using a color that closely matches my own to reduce the greys. It won’t completely eliminate grey but it colors and softens them enough that they either blend in or look like highlights. And added benefit is this costs a lot less than salon treatment. One of these bottles gives me several treatments.

Added copper tint to dark brown hair; dyed scalp orange; washed out in one week
Wanted to try a penny-like copper on my completely virgin medium/dark brown hair. I figured a gloss like this in Copper would be a good temporary way to test out whether or not I liked the color, but didn’t have high expectations starting with quite a dark base color. I did a strand test first using hair from my brush and it seemed to give it just a tint of copper, so I took the plunge on my whole head.I used a clarifying shampoo in the shower, then applied this with gloves on very damp hair and clipped it up for the rest of my shower, about 15 mins, then rinsed out. I have fine, thin hair about 4” past my shoulders and used about 1/5 of the bottle for this. I was pretty surprised by how long it took to rinse out - pink/coral water just kept coming and coming with no end…I felt like I was rinsing all the color out! Finally I decided I couldn’t rinse any longer...And got out of the shower to see my scalp dyed bright Halloween orange! So it was back in the shower and did some more scrubbing and rinsing to try to remove the scalp stains (which helped a little but my scalp was very much still bright orange for multiple days afterwards - thank goodness I did it on a weekend where I didn't have to be anywhere). Once dry, I could see my roots tinged ever so subtly red-copper but there was absolutely nothing on my lengths or ends. I figured maybe my base color is just too dark for this color, but decided to try one more time. The second time, I decided to apply it to dry hair to see if that would help it take more color. I applied it dry (used much more product this time, about 1/3 bottle) and let it sit for about 30+ mins before rinsing it out in the shower (no shampoo). Same rinsing scenario - I must have been under the water for 10+ minutes doing nothing but rinsing and rinsing, and coral pink was still pouring from my hair until I eventually gave up. So don’t expect this to rinse clear! You can see the results from my photos - you can definitely notice a red/copper tint to it, which was more obvious in person and in direct sunlight! I imagine if you’re starting with a lighter base color, you’d definitely see more result. No real noticeable results in terms of glossiness, softness, nor shine, but my hair is fairly healthy to begin with.Besides my scalp being orange for days, another big con was the fragrance: I’m used to using all fragrance-free products so the smell of this was incredibly perfumey to me. The nights after using it, I kept waking up feeling like I and my pillow were just engulfed in this strong perfumey fragrance. Would have been much nicer if it had no added fragrance and that alone makes me hesitant to use it again. It washed out to the point where it wasn’t noticeable anymore after only about 3-4 washes. I wash my hair every other day so for me this meant it lasted only about one week. And I had to use a towel and pillowcase I didn’t mind getting stained the whole time since so much color poured out every shower and it was staining my white towel (luckily this came out in the wash).Overall: since my base color is already quite dark and it only lasted about 1 week on me, I can’t say it would be worth using this again. The scalp staining and the fragrance make it even less worth it. But it definitely worked for a subtle tint. Apply it dry for the most color deposit. And if you’re starting with a lighter base color, I imagine the results could be pretty dramatic.

Only lasted one wash
I have naturally strawberry blonde hair that has faded over the years. I bought the copper color to try and add some red back in. I applied as instructed and let it sit for 20+ minutes in my hair. When I washed it out soooo much red dye came out of my hair. It was nonstop. Eventually I gave up and dried it. It definitely made my hair more red but it looked kinda awful. Almost chucky-like orange. But at least it worked I guess. Then I washed it 36 hours later and all the color came out completely (see pictures). So it only lasted ONE WASH. I might try the strawberry color to see if I have better luck but so far not impressed.
