I don't need an otterbox. I'm not hard enough on my phone. I don't want to pay for that mess. This is perfect for me. Two layer protection is ideal- a soft inner case with a hard shell that snaps on. The inner case isn't made of great material but it's pretty good. It feels like stiff, dry plastic. I think it will protect my phone but if you're tough on yours maybe consider something more shock absorbent.What really sells this case for me is the hard shell. It has one remarkable trait- it has some kind of grippy coating on it. Working in food service took all my fingerprints off. I constantly squeeze things out of my hands like a dollar-store disk shooter. This feature, above all others, is what makes this case for me. Yes, the protection is 'adequate,' but the fact that I'm going to drop it less because it grips me back is worth more than most cases anyways.Overall, I recommend this case to most people who aren't stupid with their phone. Make sure you buy a screen protector and this should do it.

Buttons for volume and power are *very* difficult to push. Case is nice and thick and sturdy but not much grip. Doesn't have a thick enough lip to protect screen (cracked plenty of screen protectors). Switched to a different case that had more protection and coverage on my phone.

This is the best cell phone case I have ever owned. Very sturdy and built to last, it is also pleasing to the eye and buttons are easy to access.

This fits so nicely on my phone and super easy for the finger print and plugging in everything. My only disappointment with the phone case is that it's hard to push the buttons for volume and locking and especially screen shots. You really gotta press them hard.

This case protects well without adding a lot of bulk. I've purchased several other cases and they were all either too bulky or too unprotective. Quality is very good.I wish I could find a tempered glass screen protector that curves with the screen on the edges. Every protector I've looked at has reviews saying that it is raised around the edges or doesn't cover the entire screen on the edges.

The case has fairly good grip and access to all the ports. It's survived a few drops already. My only real complaint is that while the flush buttons are easier for pocket carry, I find myself having to look for them most of the time to adjust volume or take a screenshot.

I bought this case because i've had J&D cases in the past and I know how durable they are. So far i've bought 3, one Purple, one Fuchsia Pink, and one black. I have the black one on my phone right now and after a week of having it on it's definitely passed the drop test, numerous times! I drop my phone so much and this case will absolutely protect it from breaking. It isn't bulky and the colors are beautiful. You can't go wrong with this case!
