So, I tried this product in desperation. This was my 5th tool in an attempt to replace my old, trusty, hot air brush, purchased about 13 years ago, (which finally died).My Previous 4 attempted replacement brushes:1 had little balls on the tips of the bristles that tangled into my hair so badly that it was hard to get out.1 arrived with someone else's hair in it. (Revlon)2 had such ridiculously high heat on LOW, that burnt chunks of my hair off.The only tool that I could locate, (after hours and hours of search), that specifically offered lower heat and had no complaints about heat in the reviews, was this one. But it didn't have hot air. I knew I would need to blow dry first. So, I have done that and used the "curling brush" for a month now.- The handle is much more comfortable to use that hot air brushes.- It is delightfully light weight- It has a long enough cord to reach an outlet that is not on the vanity -- about 6 feet.- The temperature is plenty hot to do the job- The barrel is significantly longer than other tools, making it quicker and easier to style my hair.- My wavy, semi-coarse, "wild woman" hair turns out shiny and smoother than any other tool has ever gotten it, (other than a flat-iron, but with much less drying damage than comes with a flat iron). Why so shiny? Maybe a ton of ions? Or maybe the air itself was the culprit from the hot air brushes? I don't know but I love now having less fly-away hairs!- It doesn't make ANY noise. (Surprisingly enjoyable.)- It warms up slower than a hot air brush but that has rarely been a problem. I just turn it on 3 minutes ahead of time.- It has excellent gripping action on the hair without any tangling- The tool-hanger (rubber) broke on the 4th use. (Stupid design) Now storing in a basket. Irritating. Also, it needs a cord-keeper.- Good grip-able tip. Overall good ergonomics.- If I make a mistake and touch the heated area, I do not get a severe burn. Pulling my hand away quickly spares me from any burn. Impossible with the other brushes I tried.- My hair shows no signs of drying or damage after 13 uses.I have no serious complaints. All in, this is a surprisingly excellent tool. If there is a down side, it is that I need to be careful to not curl my hair too much. It definitely curls well and does a much better job than any hot brush I have tried. (8 to date.)To the manufacturer: This tool would be perfect for people with quite short hair who work close to the scalp. Please consider making this same tool with a smaller diameter for them. Also, please make a larger (but not huge) barrel for gals with longer than collarbone hair. Finally, please put a decent cord-keeper on your product.UPDATE: 9 MONTHS OF USE LATERThe tool continues to work well, has been durable so far, and after experimenting with all kinds of moves and personal techniques, I find that I LOVE this tool. My hair was at jaw length when I bought this tool. It styled it with plenty of body and bounce. Today my hair is an inch and one half below my collarbone and I can still successfully style my hair with this barrel size but it takes some slight of hand, literally. I can get my hair into a barely-there C-curve an still give the crown a small lift.I think that much longer hair can get good results with this tool by working with much smaller chunks of hair.As for a long-term damage report: This tool has dried my hair but only to a minor degree, especially compared to the other tools out there. I wish this company would make 3 barrel sizes.Love this appliance and it still gets an enthusiastic 5 stars. If you add a quality hanging loop and a decent cord-keeper, such a Velcro strip, I'll give it 10 stars.

This is an outstanding hot hairbrush - my favorite ever! It’s bristles hold my fine straight hair just perfectly so I can get a lovely curve or curl in it. It heats up quickly and is easy to hold and manipulate, and the loop at the base of the cord is handy for hanging it on a hook. Great customer service. It was a splurge for me but well worth every penny.

The brush is great and I get the effect and slight curl that I wanted. I have only one problem with it, and that is I find I must be very careful when curling that I don't accidently touch the cylinder. In wrapping my hair around it I have touched the cylinder and burned my fingers. I think it's because the brushes are very soft and it is very easy to push too hard , thus touching the cylinder.

I have really long black hair and was excited to use this heated curling brush. When I received it I set it aside on my vanity until I was ready to use it.I finally opened the box and pulled the brush out of the velvet bag and was so disappointed in what I saw. There were long brown strands of hair caught up within the bristles. I felt a little grossed out. Right away I went on the Amazon app and clicked return.Buyer beware……..inspect what you purchase.

I love this brush but just be aware that the bristles begin falling out after about a year of use. I saw another reviewer state the same thing and just wanted to share the same feedback. I bought mine in October 2021 and now I need to buy another one because so many bristles have come out that I am burning my fingers in those empty spots. I suspect this is why Hot Tools sold off the rights to this device to another company. With that said, I really do love the brush and the shiny, smooth look it gives!

The media could not be loaded. I just got the brush today and was excited to use it. The first thing I noticed was that it’s nicely packaged. Every other volume brush I tried would get caught up in my hair, and to be fair, I didn’t fully believe the Tangle-free claim from this brush. It took a few minutes for the brush to get up to temperature. I rolled up about a 2 inch width of hair towards my scalp and held for about 10 seconds, then unrolled a half turn, rotated the brush so it was vertical and then slowly pulled the brush straight down. No pain and no tangles in the brush—just a really nice soft curl. The brush feels sturdy and well made. I know what my girlfriends are getting for Christmas this year.

It worked fine in the beginning but then after only owning it for one year all the bristles fell off leaving it useless. So bummed.

Purchased multiple hot curling brushes before finding this one. Can carefully wrap hair around bristles without burning fingers. The 1.5 inch barrel is perfect for my almost shoulder length hair - adds body, nicely turns the ends under and makes bangs look great. Temp control not adjustable but seems to be just right for my hair. So glad this one is a keeper!
