Philips Automotive Lighting 9005 VisionPlus Deluxe Upgrade Automotive Replacement Headlight Bulb, Fits Select High Beam, Low Beam, or Fog Positions (Pack of 2)

I own a 2013 Toyota Rav4. One headlight went out. The original headlights were good, but not great. I thought this was the correct time to replace the headlights for something a bit brighter. I don't want to blind oncoming traffic, and didn't want to have to replace expensive bulbs every year or two. I picked the Philips 9005 VisionPlus bulbs. Installation was very easy as they look just like the OEM. They are, by my approximation, about 25% brighter. Just perfect for what I wanted. Good job Philips!!

These are equivalent or not quite as bright as the Sylvania Superstars. Please note that these bulbs burn brighter and hotter than the factory stock bulbs. As a result, the lifespan of these bulbs will be considerably less because the heat generated by high output bulbs shortens their life. That's the trade off. Also note that if your vehicle uses these bulbs as daytime running lamps, the life will also be short on them. So if you don't mind a more frequent bulb change out in order to have a bit brighter crisp light, then these will work out good for you, as well as the Sylvania Superstars and the GE equivalent. Tip: Wear clean rubber gloves when changing out the bulbs. oils from your skin getting on the bulb will also shorten the life. These are good quality bulbs otherwise, I am very satisfied.

Reinstalled OE halogen bulbs as the LED's I had installed in the car did not fit perfectly and vibrated loose. If your bulbs are dim? Chances are good that they just need replaced and LED's are not perfect in all cases. Lesson learned.

Amazon mislabels these as high beams, they are low beams, but fit and work.

Quality made headlight bulbs that were OEM replacement for my 2011 Chevrolet truck. Very easy to install and are as bright as when truck was new. NOTE: Do not touch or get any contamination on glass portion of bulb. This will shorten the life of the bulb or cause it to fail immediately.

These are great for what they are… no gimmicky colors, and no errors that are associated with led retrofits. My car has 9005 low beams. The originals are 60w, these Vision Plus’s are 65w and they have no blue coating to fake a cooler color temperature. Being brighter they also appear whiter. The best part is that they are half the price for a pair compared to the other big brand.

The description said this is compatible with my Saturn Vue but it isn’t. I had to clip the two plastic raised lines inside the base for it to fit my socket. The bulb seems to work well now.

These lights worked great

The problem with ordering online instead of in the store is you don't really see the exact product that you are getting, you just see a photo of a similar item. The picture of the item shows 'made in Germany' quite clearly but the product that arrived is made in PRC. I'm not saying that's a bad thing but if you care about the country of origin then purchasing the item online is probably not the best idea.

They work okay. I only gave 3 stars because they didn't give me the desired result. I have high intensity LED low beams on my 2013 Accord Touring with the factory halogen high beams (the 2017+ Accords have LED for both now). With the VisionPlus you still get that dull yellowish light and it doesn't blend in well with the LED's. They are bright and do provide more light down the road and I am sure they blend well if you have halogen low beams. I will probably try out the CrystalVision next time since Philips website specifically says they provide a white/blueish light that blends with the light you get from LEDs.
