I have a few torches and the LED is super bright, using a rechargeable 18650 battery which is better than using alkaline disposable batteries, the torch is a valuable accessory around the house/garage/shed/car. Item comes with a charger for the 18650. An excellent gift for Christmas or birthdays

I have bought a number of small LED torches over the years, and although most were good for battery life and brightness, they still needed batteries to be changed more frequently than I would have liked. I bought this torch mainly due to its brightness rating and the fact that it uses 18650 battery. I have had this torch for almost 3 weeks, and have used it for about 10 minutes every day, and am still on the first full charge of the 18650 battery. I cannot say if the torch is 1200 lumens, but it is brighter that all my other small torches, with the beam easily reaching for a 150 metres and remaining focused and bright. I also like the fact that it comes in a great small case which contains the torch and all its accessories. The torch can also operate using AAA batteries in a holder (supplied), so I can keep this as spare power in case the 18650 battery finally needs charging. I am shortly going to order another of these torches and spare 18650 batteries, that's how much I like them. UPDATE : Just got my second of these torches, and noticed the supplied battery is a 5000maH battery and not the 2400maH battery I got with my first torch. It behaves the same as my first torch, so hopefully the battery should last longer between charges. NOTE : I placed the battery from the second torch in the charger and it did not appear to work. Only after close examination did I spot that the battery was shrink wrapped, and the covering was smooth with no obvious sign of the wrap. A snip with some small scissors and the covering came off and the battery charged with no issues So, for those (like me) that think the battery is faulty, check for the shrink wrap before complaining.

There are plenty of these torches being sold by various resellers. Reliablility is unknown as I have not used this (or any other variant) for long enough to make a judgement. This one came with a 2400mAH Lithium Polymer rechargable cell - stated to be 3.7V-4.2V nominal. The torch came with a mediocre, cheap usb charger for the li-po cell, that was barely usable - it was not a tight fit, and thus you were unsure if the battery was charging or not connected (it was intermittant between red and green states). This was disappointing. However, it did manage to charge the cell (slowly of course, as this is a lipo battery we are talking about here). I measured the voltage using a multimeter, and the voltage when it was almost fully charged is 4.12V. I have not tried to charge it for hours to achieve the maxiumum rated voltage of the cell. I would not like to leave such a device charging in the supplied charger unattended due to safety concerns. The package also came with 3xAAA batteries (cheap make) and all was contained in a nice hard plastic case that is handy for carrying (including shaped foam packaging). A carry strap, and other accessories were also included. All in all, a nice little torch. I only really wanted to purchase it for the rechargable cell and charger. I rate it overall a 4, as the charger could be better. It was only a spring loaded cheap charging unit. Still, was good for the price on sale (I paid around £14 for the torch set.)

A very good torch for the money

Not the biggest torch in the world, but it sure packs a great light and some smart features, nice looking case with some added bonus parts, good value for the money.

It was a good one. I bought for my children. The light brilliant. The option is good and it is provided option with rechargeable and non rechargeable batteries.

Good little torch, couple of little niddles that cheese me off. The light in the recharger is the opposite to how it should be. Green when charging or no battery in charger changes to red when charged. Also if you have on brightest setting battery doesn’t last very long.Otherwise Lightweight bit of kit. Tip shop around relative has same torch he got his at double the price. WARNING update contacted by the “company” about my review they offered to resend replacement which I wasn”t expecting , they asked for my address or phone number. Amazon has a sign in the where you reply to emails warning about not sending personal info. So I was concerned so declined to send my address etc but gave them my order No from which they could get my details. they replied they still wanted my address & phone No. I contacted Amazon they said not to give any info to 3rd party. They then said they could give me £3 for my telephone No for the courier. I then stopped relying to emails. Unsure if this was the company contacting me or they had been hacked. Felt I should warn everyone.
