Excellent!
I've been cooking BBQ and smoking meat for more than 15 years. I’m also somewhat of a gadget-guy and am always looking to up my BBQ cooking arsenal. I have a lot of experience with different thermometers ranging from old-school oven dials, to wireless remote styles, to the newer Bluetooth and Wi-Fi models. The InkBird Wi-Fi IBBQ-4T is the best that I’ve found, and it also costs about half the price of other high-end Wi-Fi thermometers. Here are the reasons why I think this is the best Wi-Fi thermometer around:Wi-Fi- If you are new to smoking, or haven’t yet made the stich to Wi-Fi, this is an absolute game changer. Gone are the days of needing to stay within range to keep tabs on a cook. You can monitor temps from literally anywhere you have cellphone service. The freedom that this provides can’t be overstated. Don’t get me wrong, I love sitting on the patio smoking BBQ, but I also have obligations and things to take care of. Keeping an eye on how my brisket is coming along while I’m watching my son’s soccer game is incredibly handy. The cool points I get when I casually check the temp my ribs while I’m out mountain biking with friends is the type of thing that’ll put a little swagger in your step. Even if you’re not comfortable leaving the house while cooking, the elimination of dead spots that you have with Bluetooth and wireless units is a huge improvement.Setup- This is an area where Inkbird really stands out. Setup was very easy. My six-year-old daughter was with me while I was unboxing, and she actually did most of the setup with a little guidance from me. We just followed the instructions, and everything worked. It was that easy.User interface- I found the platform to be very intuitive and easy to use. In just a few minutes I was able to figure out how to get the unit to do everything that I wanted, such as set high and low alerts for my cooking temperature, as well as setting a finish temp for the meat that I’m cooking. Creating my own custom temps and ranges was very fast and easy as well. Anyone who’s tried to do this using the older wireless remote models will greatly appreciate the ease of setup that you get using this app.Accuracy- Having the ability to calibrate individual probes is a huge benefit, although all probes were spot on when tested in an ice bath and boiling water. I was surprised by the responsiveness of the probes. They are within a couple seconds of my ready check thermometer, which is impressive. In a pinch you could use one of these probes to spot check the temp of something, although that’s not really what this is designed for.Fit and Finish- this is another area where the InkBird Wi-Fi IBBQ-4T really shines. The build of the central unit itself is sleek and sturdy. Weather resistant ports and a magnetized base make life easier. Color coded probes help to keep things organized when setting up for a cook. The probes are just the right size- not so long that they take up valuable real estate in the cook chamber, but not so short that they can’t get an accurate reading on a large cut of meat. The 90-degree elbow on the probes is also a nice improvement over the earlier Inkbird models.Final thoughts- whether you’re new to BBQ and looking for a thermometer that will set you up for success, or a well-seasoned smoker (sorry, I couldn’t resist) who’s looking to up their BBQ game by making things more streamlined and convenient, the InkBird Wi-Fi IBBQ-4T should be at the very top of your list of thermometers. It has all the advanced features that you get with the higher end Wi-Fi thermometers on the market. It does everything as well or better than the competition and does so at a more competitive price-point. I’m very happy with the InkBird Wi-Fi IBBQ-4T and I’d definitely recommend it to others without hesitation.

Great product. Great service. Recommended.
Over the last decade or more, I've had a clutch of various BBQ thermometers, including several that had some sort of remote unit. None worked very well or lasted very long. None provided any range that allowed me to cook in the kitchen or be far enough away to know with confidence that my food or my smoker/BBQ wasn't at the right temperature.I recently bought an Inkbird ITC-308 Digital Temperature Controller 2-Stage Outlet Thermostat to use as part of a bread proofer oven hack. I was so impressed with that unit, that I found other uses for it (cold smoking, hot smoking, BBQ temperature control (via airflow control and fan). I especially liked the ability to use the app, and program independent actions for each of the outlets (turn on/off 2 powered devices based on the information I specify). When my most recent BBQ temperature monitor finally quit working, I came to Amazon and searched for "Inkbird BBQ Thermometer," and I was pleased to discover Inkbird had several models to pick from. I chose this one, based on its features (mainly the WiFi and the 4 independent probes), its high customer ratings/comments and my previous experience with their products.I also bought an extra "oven probe" and a matching case for it. I received everything, charged it up and have had numerous successful BBQ, smoker and oven cooks, relying on it to monitor oven/BBQ/smoker temperatures and multiple items being cooked (including mixed meats). I like the app very much and use both its pre-programmed functions (both for oven/BBQ cooking temperatures and meat doneness temperatures) and its custom settings and alarms. I especially like how the app graphs temperatures; it's helped me accurately predict when some of those 10 or 12 hour roasts are going to hit the target temperature. It is kinda cool to be at the market miles away and be able to check on my BBQ cook -- more than once, I've called one of my kids and said, "Hey, please toss another piece of oak in the BBQ's firebox for me, kiddo!"I have recommended this unit to several friends, and at least 2 have bought them since -- we "gush" over this thing when we talk, and we hope once this COVID crude goes away to drink beers at our next BBQ party while raving about our Inkbird to our other friends.--Mine suddenly developed a problem with 2 of the 4 probe ports. In short, #1 and #2 quit working during a long cook where I transitioned from the BBQ/smoker to finish up in the oven. The issue was brought to my attention by the app, which notified me the oven was out of the temperature range. I was surprised to discover no temperature readings for the 2 probes. I switched the probes to #3 and #4, and I immediately got results. I finished the cook, enjoyed a great meal, and later that night looked at the unit again. The problem persisted. I tried to power cycle it and a few other things, but the problem kept occurring. Bummer.I reached out to Inkbird for their recommendations, hoping there was some reset option or secret app function I might use to reboot or otherwise get things working. They got back to me quickly (despite it being the Christmas weekend) and asked me to answer a few questions and send some pics, which I did. One of their staff and I exchanged a half dozen emails within the same hour. In the end, the customer service representative said they'd send me a replacement unit.I can't explain why my unit developed a problem. These things seem very well built and the unit is rugged. I didn't knock it around or drop it. I'm super-pleased with Inkbird's response. I feel their customer service is first-rate, like their products. I will continue to recommend this and other Inkbird products to my friends, knowing they stand behind their products with a level of customer service that matches the quality of their products.I'm adding an Inkbird Waterproof Instant Read Thermometer IHT-1P and case to my cart. I'm a fanboy of Inkbird now. I'm going to support them in the only two ways I know how: 1) recommending/reviewing and 2) buying their products. I hope you'll do the same.
