VTechDM1211 DM1211 Digital Audio Baby Monitor with Enhanced Range (1 Parent Unit) White

Bought these so I could hear my elderly mother if she needed help during the night. They work great and came in handy for those times when she forgot to tell me something before I left her room and I didn't want to get back out of bed because I could talk back to her from my unit. Sound is clear and I like that I could mute mine so as not to disturb her when she was sleeping. Great purchase and easy to use.

I've had this monitor for several weeks now. The base stays plugged in. The receiver has to be charged as needed. The longer range is great and you can hear through it without any background noise. I like the fact that you can talk through the receiver part as well.

Elderly Mother is confined to her bed, this gadget worked perfectly! We can speak to one another and hear eachother - very clear- now I know when she's awake. Plug n play, easy set up, not complicated to use. Only regret? not thinking of it sooner! Delivery as promised, good value, have already recommended to friends!

This product takes the worry out of wondering how your loved one is doing during the night, or when they are napping, or just if you need to be in another room. The sound pick up is very clear and picks up even the sound of breathing when turned all the way up. I’m using it while my elderly mom recovers from hospital stay.Check the distance it works over to be sure it meets your needs, but it’s a life changer if you are close enough. The quality is there. I would recommend this.

Great quality and awesome features. But I doubt it reaches 1500ft like it says it does. I bought this just for the reason it said long range distance. I live in the 3rd floor of an apartment building, the cheap VTech monitor I have says it reaches 1000ft and it is just about enough so I figured this VTech monitor would be perfect. Honestly I think it had worse long range distance than the cheaper vtech one

This monitor is a life saver. It is so easy to set up and works very well. I care for my 89 year old mom in my home. She recently broke her shoulder and hip. She lives in the downstairs basement area of my home. I needed a way to hear her at night if she needed pain meds or if she needed help to use the bathroom. This monitor not only picks up her voice calling my name but it's so sensitive that I can hear her breathing. I also like that I can press the button on the parent unit and I can talk to her. I would highly recommend this product.

In the beginning it was great - easy to set up and the sound was reasonably clear. After 6 months, the parent unit lost the ability to link to the child unit - even when they're in the same room. Now it's just a useless piece of trash unfortunately.
