Fast and smooth ...pretty much like everybody says
These are the first serviceable inline skate bearings I've ever had which only have a rubber shield on one side, the other side being open... they're also the fastest, very smooth and probably longest spinning. Almost a little disorienting how fast they were when I first skated on them. But that extra momentum you get with bearings like these seems to help you improve your skating technique I'm also noticing because of increased "foot speed". Bearings with a shield on only one side from what I've read are usually faster because of the reduced friction, but these may also spin better and be faster due to closer manufacturing tolerances for all I know. Haven't taken them apart yet to look and not going to until they start getting noisier and slower. May also be faster, etc. due to the lubricant they use. . They're also cheaper than bearings I've had in the past which were also usually more expensive. If they remain this fast after I take them apart, clean them and use my own lube on them a couple of times I'll be pretty impressed.

My holy grail! Best you can get
The media could not be loaded. Best you can get! They are QUIET, spin forever, and work without fail every time. I can take turns hard. And these are the best you can get for the price! Reds for life!

Great bearings!
Ive had these bearings in harder and softer roller-skate wheels and they perform great either way. Quality over speed as I don't need to be fast. Smooth, precise, and add a sliver of red to my skates. Other than wheels, these are my first upgrade. They came with a nice sticker that is on my skate case. Glad I got them as I’ve been skating & skateboarding over 50 years!

high quality bearings
I purchased these to put on my Chicago rollerskates, since those skates tend to come with poor bearings that need replacing. These made my wheels spin smoothly rather than rocking a bit back and forth. It has made rollerskating much easier, because they allow me to balance better and do tricks. They were easy to snap into place in the wheels and have held up well.

Great general purpose skating bearings.
I bought these for roller skates and have been skating for a year now. Probably nearly 1000 miles of skating and they've worked great. No complaints.

One failed bearing
I have used these 3 times a week for 2 hours at a time for the last 4 weeks. I was really happy with them until today when one of them started making a hissing type sound. I narrowed it down to the bearing and almost bought ceramic bearings tonight but instead decided to buy another set of these so I can change when needed. I would have given them 5 stars if this didn't happen.

Now I’m rolling
I bought some cheap skates to start skating again. Been a long time. Didn’t want to invest a lot. Bought $50 Walmart skates. Decent for the price. However not getting the glide I was looking for. After some research I purchased and switched them out. Now I glide forever. Less effort and more speed. Major difference

Good bearings.
Personally I can't rationalize paying the amount of money porcelain bearings cost. At a certain point you're going to have diminishing returns. I've seen a substantial improvement using these over cheaper bearings. Honestly, the price on skate bearings is kind of crazy. Are there better bearings? Yes. Can you practically buy a new pair of skates for the cost of them? Yes. Unless you're actually competing professionally, these are good. A good level of quality. Also, metal bearings will hold up better if they ever end up getting dirty. So if you ever skate outdoors I would recommend sticking to metal bearings.
