Works great for me!
Did not use these the traditional way but they work great for my needs! I used these to secure my rods on the top inside of my yakima rocketbox! Caught them on sale for a great price! Easily installed! Fits my rods well giving me tons more storage!

Perfect product
This product is very strong and durable it fits just about ever fishing rod and is small enough that it doesn’t take up a huge amount of space it holds the rod a lot better than expected and is overall a pretty good product

Hold your rods study regardless of orientation!
This is the second rod holder I’ve purchased and chose to use this one in my game room. I tried both vertical and horizontal and both ways this rod holder held everything in place nice and snug. Now I can display some of my favorite bass rods over the windows in my game room without having to worry if they will fall or get damaged. Couldn’t beat the price here on Amazon either I only wish I purchased another one or two for my garage where I store my saltwater rods when not using them, looks like I may have to invest in a couple more at this price. Great sturdy build with soft but able to strongly hold rods in place foam. Easy to install with included hardware. A must for any fisherman, women, person or whatever you identify as. This will hold your precious and expensive rods without giving you any worries.

They actually can fit 6 poles tight unlike others listed
There is cheaper ones on Amazon so I bought both and here's the difference..the cheaper ones are not only made with slightly less material the cheaper ones rod holders are so close together you could not put more than 2 on each side being the reels would hit the next reel under it so you would swap one going one way and the other going the other way on the cheaper ones and the cheaper ones are shorter so thats the issue, less room between each pole..with that said, there's no way to fit six on the one and all fo the same way as you can at least fit 3 going the same way then run 3 the other way. Even tho each style claim 6 poles, only this one you could make fit very tightly. For me I mounted on my boat and need room so they dont get damaged so I kept this one and put 2 one way and 2 the other way and that leaves enough room not to tangle up line and such when putting them in and out..they hold pretty good too.

Great way to keep rods organized in my van AND away from the dogs - total installation no more than 15 minutes
I knew I had 6 rods to store, but since one was a Dock Demon (short like an ice fishing pole), I knew I could use this 5 rod holder. This was for keeping my rods secure & more importantly up away from my dogs feet. Don’t want them to get hooked by line laying around. These 6 rods go w/ me every day, every where & getting them organized & up away from the dogs was important. These rod holders are a great solution. What you need to install these: * Drill * 5/64 drill bit (plastic panel) or 3/32 drill bit (wood wall) * 4 - 1” Philips head screws (or use the flat head screws it comes with) * 1 utility knife * Screw bit or screw driver 1st - No doubt, the flat head screws that come with it are useless, IMO. Had some similarly sized Philips head available & used them. 2nd - For most of my rods, the foam was too thick for the handles, so I had to cut away some foam on the butt end rod holder. I did chose to cut away some on 2 rows of the 2nd rod holder because I had surf & pier rods to set in them (no need to do so for skinny rods). Installation was super easy. I used a 5/64 drill bit (for plastic van panel), lined up 1 of the rod holders & drilled the 1st hole. Started the screw, left it loose, then drilled the bottom hole. Used one of my rods to determine where the butt end of the rods should be & did the same for the 2nd rod holder. Then tightened the 1st screw & set the remaining screws. Once installed, I used my utility knife to cut away foam for the handles & some foam on 2 rows of the other rod holder. That’s it - DONE! Hung the rods & tucked my last short rod behind them. You can see on the AFTER pic that I tucked my last rod behind those hung on the rod holder. If I decide to regularly carry more rods, then I will get another set of rod holders. Sorry - the BEFORE/AFTER pics have one of the rods off-kilter; I fixed it before I closed up everything, but not before my camera ran out of battery.
