Marshall Stockwell II Portable Speaker - Burgundy

We already own the Marshall Stanmore II with Alexa. I literally fell in love with it. To say the least, I was excited to see a portable speaker that I can use in multiple rooms and could resist buying it. What I love is how long the battery lasted, as long as you remember to turn off the knob [you loose the bluetooth]; I was able to connect it to iPad, Samsung, computer with ease. The sound for this pint sized speaker was fantastic. Not as booming as the stanmore, to be expected. Nonetheless, didn’t disappoint at all. You do need to turn the volume up, but check your source to make sure the volume is also turned high. I am enjoy listening to my music where ever I am, and so enjoying the experience. We have many big name brand speakers, I am definitely a Marshall speaker convert. Hands down the best value product. Looks are stunningly robust, love the burgundy as a contrast. Well made, and I am impressed all over again.

This is one of the best bluetooth speakers I've used to date. It has a soundstage presence that puts a smile on my face, especially considering it's size and price.Pros:-I bought this during a sale for $149 (12/2019), and wouldn't consider anything else in that price range-It blows my JBL charge 3 and UE Boom out of the water for sound quality, and it's kinda laughable when playing then side by side.-sounds great at most listening angles (my JBL had to be at a forward facing band for the optimal listening angle)-the knobs feel nice-the outer coating is rubber and the grill is metal, which also feel niceCons/comments:-it feels durable and well made, but I wouldn't take this to the lake. I feel more comfortable chucking the JBL into a backpack and onto a boat. The Marshall is better suited for going around the house-battery life is great, but probably not 20 hours at typical listening volume.-it doesn't get as loud as most speakers in this price range. It gets to about "loud casual" but it won't rip the down the walls. I could see this being problematic if the primary listening areas are outdoors.

This speaker has a great sound reproduction. The speaker is fairly heavy, so the reason for the 4 stars on portability, but the weight does add for stability on a windy day. The volume is not very loud but the quality of the sound makes up for that issue. The sales literature states the battery will last for 20 hours. The package literature states the battery will last for 20 hours at mid-power. At mid-power you would have to be in a quiet room to hear the music. Outdoors you will never hear your music mid-power. We both have iPhone 6’s, so it might be our dates phones causing the low volume. We do not know if other mobile phones communicate better with this unit.

It's got a very unique quality to the sound stage it creates. It's layered, it's dense, & the way it handles stereo separation is very interesting. There aren't any other speakers at this price point that sound this good. Be warned though, the Class D amplifier in this speaker raises/lowers the volume exponentially. So in other words if the dial is below 6 you basically can't hear anything, and between 6 & 10 the volume level goes up very quickly. Volume-wise it gets about as loud as a JBL Charge 4. Build-quality-wise it's up to the standard of all the other current Marshall bluetooth speakers, just in a way more compact form factor.(UPDATE 5/29/2020 > I ended up returning it in favor of something bigger. If you're gonna use it in a small room or sit right next to it on the patio, it's the best. If you have a larger space or you plan to use this as an area speaker while you're working in the garden, you may have a problem. I've found that the quality of the sound really drops off somewhere between 6 & 8 feet.)

I like the Marshall Stockwell II because of its portability and very good sound quality. It is light and because of this I can handily bring it to the beach without aby hassle. The sound quality is very good and the volume is very satisfactory. The brand gives the impression that the owner has an impeccable taste for top end products.

I love love this speaker! Ever since I saw it at Target I wanted it! Luckily I bought it off here because it was way cheaper and they don’t carry the burgundy color at Target. It’s loud, battery is great, and the bass is everything I want in Bluetooth speaker! Highly recommend!

Just trust me. I’ve a lot of speakers from Bose, to UE, Bower & Wilkins, alright? This one is perfect sized and has super long battery. Not only is it handsome as hell, but it’s the first speaker I’ve been able to adjust treble and bass, and that’s huge.

A 50th birthday present, looks and sounds great. As a keen gardener this is already accompanying me every day, when lockdown is over will be coming with my and my family on our picnics :)

引越しと同時に高級オーディオを諦めて、小型で音の良いワイヤレススピーカーを探しておりまして、初めは評価の高かったB社のBluetoothスピーカーを購入しましたが中高音が低音に負けとても聴いていられなく、私は低音至上主義ではないので、次の候補として写真で見た感じデザインは好きでなののですが、やはり評価の高かったこのスピーカーを思い切って購入いたいしました。一時は値段がこのスピーカーの倍以上もするディナウディオを狙っておりましたが、引越しで予算がなく手頃なこの機種に致しました。結果大正解でした。何しろ表題のようにどのようなジャンルの曲をかけてもゴージャスで品があり、全体的にフラットですが、聴いていて楽しくなるフラットさです。音圧もしっかりと迫ってきますし、中高音もバランスよく鳴らしてくれまし音の細かい泡つぶを満遍なく放射してくれます。この大きさでこのクオリティ正直驚きました。大袈裟でなはく今まで何十万とした高級オーディオの存在を忘れさせてくれます。デザインも実際に見ると結構いいです。ただ、欲を言えばこの大きさですから仕方がありませんが、ニアフィールドでしたら、ボリュームを13時くらいにして聴けますが、６畳間の部屋全体に聞こえるようにするには１５時くらいにしないと無理です。制動力がイマイチというところでしょうか。また、たまーにBluetoothの接続が一瞬切れる時があります。MacBookProで鳴らしているのですが、距離は20センチくらいです。欠点はこれくらいでしょう。モノラルですが、モノラルを感じさせません。すばしいの一言です。マーシャルさんありがとう。

Very good device, good looking and solid. Very easy to install. The Treble and Bass buttons are very useful when you want to listen to classical music. The Marshall Stockwell 2 is perfect for setting the mood. It's not for careful listening, but it's not what I was looking for. But as other reviewers have written, you only start to hear sound from 6. That's why I put one star less.
