It’s like mac and cheese’s rice-based cousin who showed up in a cup and stole the spotlight. It's obviously cheaper to buy the regular boxes of this and cook it on the stove. But that takes time. And access to a stove. And sometimes, you don't have either. But as long as you have a microwave, you can't beat getting a tasty meal in just a few minutes making one of these.FOOD HACK #1If you're making this at home, keep a bag of shredded cheese handy. The four=cheese Mexican blends work best, because the cheeses used are better as "melting" cheeses. When you're done cooking the rice, add a tablespoon or two of the shredded cheese, and give it a quick mix. It both helps the rice to cool down a bit quicker (you get to eat sooner), and makes it more "cheesy." And nothing can ever be TOO cheesy.FOOD HACK #2Know what this goes surprisingly well with? Tacos and burritos. ESPECIALLY burritos. I was making some shredded chicken burritos, my Wife and her friend each asked if I'd make them one. I fixed two cups of the broccoli cheddar rice. And then added a few spoons worth to each burrito made. Both my Wife and her friend were really surprised at how good the burritos were. Because they knew that I typically only add white rice to my own burritos. But the rice, cheese and broccoli harmonized perfectly with the other ingredients. So if you want to make a taco or burrito go from "okay" to "wow," try adding this as a secret ingredient.Other than that, go ahead and order them. Cheaper than what it's sold in stores for. And smarter to buy it in bulk. So that you've always got them handy. One less thing you have to remember to buy when you're going to the grocery store.

I have loved these Rice-A-Roni cups since they first came out a few years ago. One of my favorite things is that you don't even need a microwave. Just loosen the top, pour boiling water on top, cover it back up, and let it sit for a few minutes. This makes these cups perfect for those days I'm feeling chained to my desk and don't have the time to go downstairs for a few minutes to hit up the communal microwave. I also love that the seasoning is already on top of the rice and we no longer have to use those little packets.I like all of the flavors in the variety pack, even the jalapeno cheddar. And I'm not usually a fan of anything spicy or that has jalapeno in the flavor description. I like the convenience of having a variety pack sent directly to me that I can easily transport to work if I so choose.My only complaint is how the company packs them into the box. And this is not an Amazon issue, but an issue with whoever packs them at the source. My last couple of boxes have arrived with them so stuffed into the box that at least one cup is inedible because it has been open and spilled all over the rest of the box. I'm not sure what's different recently from when I first started buying this pack, but it's a bit frustrating.Otherwise, I love these!

Have liked Rice-a-Roni since I was a kid. I don't cook cuz I live alone but saw these cups at the grocery store & buy when on sale. Also checked here. Taste just like I remember.

I've never had this before and I guess I shouldn't have purchased a huge bulk box prior to trying. Value for money is there. But the flavor is lacking and it's not to my liking..this doesn't mean someone else won't like it. Or does like it. It's just not for me!
