Horrible quality, great specs
When i got the board the display didnt work. Looking at it the soldering was horrible in some areas and was over soldered on hdmi port. After seperating i could get display working. I didnt want it at that point. Specs are great at that price but quality was not on my product. Linux wont work unless you have hdmi enabled. Sometimes you can enable with with a key on the keyboard..sometimes you have to rewrite the display file. At first i thought that was the issue even tho i used the sd from my old board that was working perfectly. Waste of time.

Model: "pcDuino8 Uno V01" (Formerly "pcDuino8 Arches Beta", I think.)It does NOT have an Allwinner A80 and is not the current "Linksprite Arches" A80 board. The title is wrong.

Nice JUNK! No support. No Updates. I call it Pay-and-Regretware
This is a dead-end product and was from the first introduction. Same for anything else from LinkSprite. I got it with great hopes of moving Arduino projects to it but it is useless for that purpose and nearly useless for all other purposes. This company LIKE MANY in this field are throwing new products out the door every 3 to 6 months and as soon as the new comes out, the previous one goes on the out-of-date pile and there is no more support for it. No updates. No nothing!! Avoid this and all of these startups that have no idea about customer and product support or you, too, will end up with an expensive items that's not even heavy enough to be a door stop.It worked but not as well as you are lead to believe. It went into the junk pile. Should have put it back on eBay and let some other poor person deal with it. But I was not mean enough, unlike LinkSprite.

Powerful Embedded Linux or Android Processor with the Processing Speed of an Intel i5 or i7
This is a powerful board capable of running either Ubuntu Linux with all significant utilities, or an Android Operating System. Performance of this 8 Core processor (with separate multicore graphics processors) is tremendous, in my "un-bench-marked" personal observation the responses of this board seemed at least as good as my fast 3 GHZ i5 Dell laptop. To obtain maximum benefit from this powerful single board Linux or Android System you need to have a 1080P capable monitor, and standard USB Mouse and Keyboard. Linux apps must be compiled for the ARM architecture if you wish to add packages that are not part of the standard Linux distribution--in most cases you can simply sudo apt-get install "package name". In android apps install from the Google Play store.I highly recommend this powerful board as an introduction to embedded Linux or as a standalone desktop computer.
