LG WM3170CW 4.3 Cu. Ft. White Stackable Front Load Washer - Energy Star

Good quality washer! Does everything right and nothing wrong. I've had it less than two years, so I can't say it will last decades, but my refinery work coveralls come out like new every time. My past washers would never get them as clean. Loads come out near dry. I'm reviewing a 3170. The other negative review is of some other model, as this Steve guy is on a mission to repost his story under as many models as possible. I find his tail very suspect.

 Unit lasted 10 months before making a loud screeching and grinding noise during any spinning. Over a week for LG to come look at what's wrong and most likely attempt to patch it over to get me to the 1 year warranty period. I would not buy LG products again based on this warranty experience and having to wait over a week alone. You want to be remembered as the company who left me with dirty underwear for over a week everytime I see the letters LG, well you've succeeded.

Just received washer and it leaks through the door gasket after the second wash. Repairs to follow.

Unit was DOA with defective inlet valve, water runs continuously even after power is cut. Basically we spent $800 on a giant paper weight that floods our basement. I don't think I'll be willing to roll the dice again with LG's shoddy quality control.

Pods and dirt get stuck in the door gasket of this washer. When I spoke with LG customer service, they told me that they do not recommend the use of laundry detergent pods.
