GivMohr gave more
after several trial and errors finding the right arm/shoulder sling, this GivMohr sling was recommended by PT. it did reduce the shoulder subluxation by 80-90% of the time. my husband suffers from a stroke 4 mths ago and found this sling to support his semi flaccid arm from pulling the shoulder muscles down causing pain. rehab neurologist pointed out the plastic handle rolled the fingers in so we remove the plastic roll and replaced with our own flat board to support his hand.ONE tiny PROBLEM; you see the that strap behind the elbow, well the arm will slip out so we fixed that problem with finding our own Velcro strap to wrap around the entire elbow region and it work well. no more arm slip outs.

At first, the sling was too small for me ...
At first , the sling was too small for me. I ordered X-small on my therapists advice. But I called the seller and he helped me a lot to solve the issue. He sent me for free to more pieces that attach to the rest of the sling. I am very grateful for that. The medium one did just right. I am returning him the other two. The sling helps the most when you are standing, so that the shoulders muscles stay in place. Once you have the right fit, it does well. I think though it is a little difficult for the same person to put it on, it requires help from someone.

Great sling for preventing shoulder subluxation.
Used one of these slings for stroke patient in in-patient rehab. Ordered one in time for therapists to fit it properly. Patient used it for a couple of weeks consistently and with therapy and the subluxation was reduced. Supported the arm and prevents the pull on the shoulder. Patient says it is more comfortable for walking and will use it religiously at home until use of the arm returns. The only fault with the design is where the strap goes under the good shoulder. After adding soft cloth, it was comfortable. Nothing is really perfect, but this sling is well-designed.

There are much better choices
Recommended by my husband's therapist while he was in hospital. A waste of money. Very difficult to put on, uncomfortable, and seriously overpriced.

Five Stars
Excellent product - good support for an arm that has no feeling to support it's weight.

Too expensive, does not support shoulder drop
Too expensive to only sustain hand but at an uncomfortable position. Does not support shoulder at all.Found a shoulder brace and hand support for 1/3 of the cost that more beneficial and comfortable..

Helps support the shoulder
I purchased this sling for my son. After fitting it properly, the sling does alleviate the subluxation issue with his shoulder. After wearing the sling for a period of time, the harness area around the other arm becomes tighter (less comfortable). Also, the hand piece holds his fingers open wider. I would recommend this product to others. Even though it seems expensive (must be that little locking plastic thing that should be centered on spine area), it helped reduce the pain my son was experiencing and lessened the need for pharmaceutical pain relief.
