Elderly German Shepherd finally on the mend
So my 11 & a half year old German Shepherd has had intermittent diarrhoea for 4 weeks - more on than off. We've of course been to the vets twice - he was given 7 days antibiotics which seemed to have moderately helped while he was on it, then right back to having severe diarrhoea again.I've been through several tubes of Pro Kolin Advanced since the day he started the runs - obviously didn't solve the issue for him.Roll on a week ago - a dog owner friend recommended this tummy settler stuff and said it helped her dog, so I had a look and to be honest I thought it looked a bit rubbish and I'm not a fan of buying meds from Amazon anyway, but being a bit desperate to help my poorly boy, I ordered it and it arrived next day so started administering that morning - twice per day, 15ml as he's a large dog.I administered it orally as didn't want to risk him not eating the ground turkey and rice I had prepared for him - not going to lie, he's not a fan of it but he's a very good boy and lets me do these types of things so we managed, we've built up trust over the years with positive associations so if your dog is scared please take it slow and make it a positive experience for them. After two full days of treatment, he was just pooing out mucous - was obviously concerned and thinking this pink stuff hasn't helped, but as it says give for up to three days I gave it for the full three days.On day three, he did a couple of very tiny but good poos so I was overjoyed to see he was finally getting better.I've been keeping a detailed log of what I'm feeding him and when, his bowel movements and what meds I'm giving and when so I can make informed decisions on his progress.I'm still giving him minced turkey and rice, he didn't poo at all yesterday but today has done a good poo finally! 🥳 So am going to keep him on bland food for a couple more days to be sure and slowly introduce his regular food back in.In summary, this tummy settler seems to have genuinely helped my elderly dog by giving him the boost he needed to get back on track, albeit it slowly, so fingers very much crossed he continues to recover...will try and update this review. It's not a miracle worker - you need to give a bland diet to assist the dogs tummy to recover and it won't help if your dog has a serious issue, but I personally am going to start using this over my previous probiotics as it seems to work better.Note: I'm giving him a daily probiotic powder now too, to help re-build his gut flora after the antibiotics and whatever has caused this issue for him.

Settled by dog's rumbly stomach
Instructions were a bit over the top "ensure all air bubbles are out of the syringe"... it's not an intravenous procedure! I know my dog wouldn't take this using a syringe in the side of his mouth - so poured the correct dosage on his food.... and it was eaten with no issues.... and he's a fussy eater (Lhasa Apso). It settled his tummy perfectly (two small doses), so no side effects and very effective.

Works every time
Been buying this for a while, and now have it on subscription. With three labs who like to eat everything, we use it fairly often and it works every time. One of our labs seems to suffer with heartburn and HATES having this squirted down his throat, as 15ml is a lot. But he is immediately more comfortable once it's gone down, and we rarely need to repeat it. It also works for trapped wind and loose poops, and again works every time and usually without a second dose. I sometimes mix it into their dinner if they're showing signs of any tummy upset, as it's easier than the syringe. It doesn't taste bad at all, just chalky - it's basically just like milk of magnesia.

I am so glad I found this
I have a beautiful standard poodle who is fit as a flea at 12 years of age . He does get the odd tummy upset . I’ve tried various things over the years , the paste you can find is messy. I saw this thought I’d give it a go . I’ve used it twice , once for loose stools it worked . Then he wouldn’t eat , his tummy was making noises he was not happy . I gave him a dose before bed he got up went for his walk full of bounce then ate his breakfast . In my mind this is worth every penny I will definitely keep some handy .I saw some reviews that said it didn’t work , well I can’t agree with that. I guess it depends on what the cause is , some dogs will need to go to a vet , but I found this so good

Larger syringe please!!
My dog has had the trots for a week now. He is not unwell with it, eating and playing normally, but a spoon or straw is required to clean said poo up.If he was unwell, i would of course take him to my vet, but as he seems 'normal' £40 for a consultation and then meds on top is a frightening thought. So, thought i would give this a go after reading hood reviews about it.Just administered the first dose which was 15ml. Why, oh why supply a 10ml syringe when a lot of dogs will require a higher dosage. Having caught my pooch after he legged it seeing me come at him with something that did not look like a treat, i successfully got the 10ml down him. However, i then had to administer another 5ml. Absolutely no chance. He was so suspicious, and rightly so. I eventually managed to grab him and syringed the 5ml into his beard. Great, thanks!! At that price you would think the company would supply an adequate sized syringe for the dosages. Ridiculous.I now have to purchase a suitably sized syringe so i can give the dose in one go. This i should not have to do.Does the jollop work? Who knows. He's had some which i don't think will affect him by the time of walkies so will dose him again tomorrow (can't wait)Watch this space!!And supply bigger syringes for goodness sake 🙄UPDATE.....after two doses, no improvement. Will try a couple more days and if he stays the same the bottle will gather dust in a corner somewhere.

This is brilliant stuff!
My labrador has a very sensitive stomach and has bouts of diarrhoea regularly. Well, when I put 10ml of this stuff over her food, her bad stomach stops, and her poo goes solid, which is great because then it is so much easier to pick this up in the garden. Also, I have found that 1 dose of 10ml keeps her poo solid for a good 3-4 days, so she doesn't have to have it every day. I'll never be without this stuff in the kitchen cupboard!

Waste of money
I purchased this based on the specification and reviews. But it did nothing and was an absolute waste of money.
