I just bought this book for my 5 year old, 1st grader to read for homework time. She is a girly-girl that loves pink so she immediately fell in love with this book. The pictures inside and on the covers are all so pretty. The story kept my daughter's attention. The author's note to the parents say "this is a book the child will read with a parent and eventually read on their on". And I agree. Some of the words are challenging for this level e.g.. dressing, treasures, everywhere, and present. I like that each book has it's on phonic sound it focuses on. I plan to use this as extra practice for my daughter when the teacher is covering that specific sound in class. I love this set so much I think I may buy 1 for the classroom and another as a gift.

The books are perfect size for your little reader! The font is a good readable size, and all the stories are short sweet and fun to read.

This is a nice set of practice readers for kindergarten to first grade, a child who is learning to read and needs work on sight words and reading fluency. The books are very short and simple, far too easy for a second grader or even a first grader who reads at the proper level. The product description said the books align with the Common Core so I expected the package to contain some information about how they support the standards, but there was nothing. If you are looking for a cute set of books for a young girl to practice with, these are an adorable and entertaining set. There isn't any instruction other than the vowel sounds though, so if you are looking for any phonics instruction and application, these books would have to be paired with another book of instruction and used for supplemental practice. There is one book for each short vowel and one book for each long vowel. Overall, this is a nice, but brief set of books.

We purchased these for our 6 year old. She has a low confidence level when it comes to reading but these books are beginner friendly & she for the first time actually WANTED to read! The stories are adorable & age appropriate. 10/10 suggest this brand!

The books offered the right amount of words that are known as well as a challenge to help the child learn how to pronounce and identify sight words. Would recommend for others and continue to buy as the kid gets older.

Es una coleccion muy linda de cuentos. Le encanto a mi hija de 7 años, que esta aprendiendo a leer y tambien inicia con el ingles. Sin darse cuenta practica su lectura pero tambien vocabulario y cada libro se enfoca en un sonido distinto (phonics). Hay que considerar que son pequeños (mide la caja aprox 15.5 cm X 13.5 cms.) son 12 cuentos con letra grande, dibujos muy lindos y no son muy largos lo cual para los pequeños lectores es muy bueno. Lo unico que cambiaria es que la caja tuviera un carton mas grueso ya que esdelgado y aunque tiene poco uso ya se le empieza a notar.
