DuralexLys Stackable Clear Bowl 7.5 cm (3 in.) Set of 4

I ordered some of these because we already had a couple inherited bowls from grandparents.These match the old ones perfectly, and serve as great ingredient and sauce bowls.

I have always liked this durable, very utilitarian prep bowls. I use them for snacking on nuts and chocolate bits, too. (The 7.5 cm size is perfect for that; keeps me from eating a pound of pistachios at one sitting!) Duralex-Lys provides a number of sizes that make pre-measuring ingredients a snap for me. Work very well for liquid, solid, or powered/ground ingredients, from small amount of spices, extracts, butter etc., to more substantial volumes of ingredients. Their shape is perfect, with just the right curve and no interior lip that makes a barrier to easy pouring of liquid or ground ingredients. I have no problem getting it all out of the prep bowl. Unlike most glass prep bowls, these are pretty sturdy. They can break, but not as easily as other brands. I have dropped some of them and they held up. Two have broken in the past 10 or so years. Not brittle like so many glass bowls. I have used the heat resistant custard dishes so many people seem to like, but they break easily and do not empty as well. I have no need to put Duralex-Lys bowls in the over, so I cannot speak to their performance in baking or over heating. Besides, for the small bowls, it would be unwise to try to remove small hot bowls of liquid from an oven. Other brands have a lip that even a silicone spatula cannot scrape clean to empty ingredients into the mix. I have used these for many years, many sizes, and they have remained one of my most relied-upon kitchen tools.

Great in a chef's kitchen

These small dishes are so fabulous and best of all, durable. I use them for so many things, especially condiments. They are pricey, but will last forever.

I’ve owned Duralex small glass bowls in three different sizes for years and love them! I only recently moved and suspect someone dropped several of my bowls that are missing plus I found glass in my old apartment where I stored them. But, that’s okay as I appreciated the help in moving! So I ordered the 3” diameter and it is the smallest of my three different sizes I’ve owned. These were the ones missing. I received (2) 4-pack orders and they were wrapped and packaged very well. When I removed them, I did observe very small fine scratches on the outside of 4 of the 8 total. These were packaged so very well, there is no way these scratches occurred in transit. Plus, no one could have seen the fine scratches unless they removed them from their protective packaging. They had not been removed. The scratches are on the bottom coming up the side. Again, they are small. I don’t feel the scratch on the inside so the glass is intact inside. I do know that if I should drop any of these, they’ll likely break quickly due to the imperfection of fine scratches. I’m not typically clumsy though. I am keeping and will use for small measurements or even small items like a tablespoon of jam. I cannot recommend Duralex small glass bowls enough as I have used for many years now and I have been very content with my decision to purchase.

As described, solid glass bowls for cooking/baking prep

I keep one of these near the stove full of sea salt, and use the others for nuts, sauces, or topping choices on platters when I entertain.They are sturdy, and stackable for easy storage.

These are smaller than the small pyrex cups you had as a kid. Nice for pre-measuring the pepper, salt, herbs in a recipe. Duralex is a personal favorite brand and these didn't disappoint me. I think I have average man hands and this size has a diameter about as long as my pointer finger. In the picture it's the larger of the two, at left. The smaller one to its right is just 6 cm (2 3/8 in).
