Great product
Found this very easy to set up. I set up as wireless in about 15 minutes. Printer is working well and I like that it doesn't take up a lot of space. I had purchased this to replace an Epson that was about 15 years old and purchased it on sale so am well pleased with the price. I have yet to print photos but expect it to print well.

Very professional style printer
Very professional printer. Does a variety of things but no instructions to show you how to take advantage of them. I got basic setup instructions for me to use it and it does a really nice job printing what I need.

I wouldn't recommend this printer to my worst enemy. Here's why.
I have owned this printer for 4 years. If you need to print less than 10 text-only pages per year, this may be an okay printer for you. Otherwise, avoid this printer (and all others like it) at all costs. If someone tells you they will pay you $1,000 if you buy this printer, do not accept it unless you plan to use it for target practice in which case that would be a great deal. Why do I despise this printer with such intensity? Why would I not recommend it, even to my worst enemy? Why do I waste time daydreaming about packing it full of Tannerite, pouring gasoline on it, setting it on fire, tossing it from the edge of the grand canyon and shooting it as it falls clumsily through the air? #1 - You will spend so much on ink that you may have to file for bankruptcy or at least apply for government assistance. Hundreds of dollars a year, easily. #2 - Want to print only black and white and have plenty of black in in the printer? No problem! Just make sure you buy all the color ink cartridges first. Seriously, while it is unreliable and inconsistent, 95% of the time it will not let you print BLACK AND WHITE ONLY unless the COLOR ink cartridges are plenty full. Hmmm... wonder why that is? #3 - Its wireless printing capabilities are completely unreliable. #4 - After a couple of years of use, the print is uneven, smearing here and there, random lines getting printed. In other words, quality is not great. #5 - It acts like it can be used to print quality photos. Maybe... just keep in mind the cost/picture is probably about $2 given the exorbitant price of ink and how much it uses. #6 - Multiple times when I have needed it most (like today), it has played trick #2 from above on me, putting me in a real bind.

Good printer
I bought this printer as a replacement for my older epson printer. In this one works well and is a little more compact.

Everything worked well but some setup info hard to find
First of all, I had to go to a bricks-and-mortar store to find out where the paper tray was. I wanted to put the printer into a utility closet with an outlet and print without moving it, and until I could see the paper tray, I couldn't purchase it. Just showing the front of the printer without the open paper tray was not enough. I set up this printer with my MacBook Pro running OS 10.14.6. The power button is all black -- it lights up nicely when it. is on but is a bit difficult to find when it's off, although the setup sheet does show the location. I had trouble getting AirPrint to work. The setup sheet gives you enough information to get what I think is called Direct Print to work over your wireless network, but that's not enough for AirPrint -- you have to set up Wifi Infrastructure Mode, and the Epson online help is no help. Using Google, I eventually found an Epson YouTube video that showed how to do this from the printer's front control panel. Before I downloaded and used the 7100 User Guide, I also set up Epson Connect and the iPrint app, and after they did not help with AirPrint, I wondered if I would ever use them at all (but I did use iPrint, see below!). These different wireless print options and a one-sentence description of what each is good for should be on the Setup Sheet. Color print from MS Word, Excel, and Notes on iPhone and iPad worked perfectly the first time (once I had AirPrint). Then I started checking functions from the User's Guide, including several I've never done with any other printer. Duplex color copy and scan worked perfectly the first time, even though my input was an old and slightly wrinkled drawing. I did both from the Automatic Feeder Tray with the printer control panel. Photo print from Preview came out really well, even though I had only Another Brand photo paper instead of the Epson Ultra Premium Glossy paper I prefer. Photo print from a camera memory card, using the front printer control panel, also came out very well (my photo wasn't so great, so I won't say it was excellent yet) and I was able to preview what was on the memory card and select a layout right from that panel, without my computer. I didn't try transferring those photos from the printer to the computer because I put the memory card away before I saw that was possible, but I did confirm the Mac could see the printer over the network. I checked the printer supply levels from the printers and scanners icon in System Preferences. Finally I printed a layout of four 4x6 photos from my iPhone using iPrint. Worked fine. I am amazed at what this printer can do.

I bought an Epson XP6100 printer on-line from NES Online through Amazon. The item arrived promptly on the first day of the expected delivery window. It was brand new in its manufacturers packaging and has worked like a dream. It seems quieter than previous Epson printers I have owned, and the scanning function operates quicker and at better resolution than previous scanners, probably due to improved software.

I tested the new printer with photos having different shade of colors and brightness....very good results. I am a little worried about the quality of the plastic cover and multi use tray, they look very flimsy. This makes for a little printer, but not sure how long it will be before it breaks. Also, the size of the ink cartridges is getting ridiculous, they look like they would fit only a few milliliters (very small). Anyway, I will update my review after a few months.
