One of the best if not THE BEST author of his genre.
Dr. Parker writes in a way that draws you in. I have found there is NO putting down the book until you are done. Never a bad thing with an author, and the good doctor is VERY good at this.I love the way he writes. You feel as if you are there, in the story, but somehow safe- as if you are watching what is happening behind a two way mirror. Love this man...I have read quite a few of his books. My goal is to read them all. Thankfully, I do have a good start!Dr. Parker, thank goodness you are a prolific author. Please do not stop writing, ever. There are those of us who live vicariously thru your works. Thank you!!!

Disappointed
This book needs a lot of editing. It reads like a draft. I was expecting a more in-depth look into necrophilia but it provides only basic information. It's not worth what I paid for it.

Disgusting and Fascinating
Why? Oh why would someone want to perform sex acts with a corpse or to your horror you learn reading this fascinating although disgusting aspect of crime sometimes only a body part? Why did I read this? I was a criminal justice major in college I've spent most of my life reading about murder and other crimes, beginning with True Detective Magazines. Also I've watched many of the forensic TV dramas and the true-crime re-creation programs on quite a few channels. More and more facts are coming out about deviant killers whose story you thought you knew. Shockingly not only men commit these corpse desecrations. The best-selling true crime author RJ Parker also reveals stories of women who had a sexual fascination with dead bodies. The only thing I found disappointing was that the book ended at 67% on my Kindle. But RJ fills in the remaining percentage with more true-crime: a preview of a story, facts, statistics, and references giving you more books to explore.

Interesting and unusual case studies
Although the subject matter is a highly ranked taboo in our society, there seem to be no laws expressly prohibiting necrophilia. What is repugnant to most people apparently is a passion to some. This book contains brief accounts of several cases of necrophiles who committed murder in order to obtain an unresisting and compliant sex partner. Gary Ridgway, the Green River Killer, murdered prostitutes, runaways, and hitchhikers for several reasons. There was a never-ending supply, they were unlikely to be missed, and they were easy to pick up. He would return to have sex with the corpses for several days afterward, regardless of the condition or state of decomposition of the bodies. There are nine more case studies in the book, each one shocking to the senses. Edward Kemper had such low self-esteem that he must have thought it to be impossible to establish a normal relationship with a female.

Only RJ Parker!!! :)
Only RJ Parker would write this unwritten book. Everyone knows that this exists but not many are willing to write about it. This is why I luv RJ Parker so much!!! This was a true eye opener for me I never knew of so many cases. These troubled killers feel this act as necessary in order to have a non-resistant and compliant sex partner as they are unable to establish a truly normal relationship with any partner. Mostly insecure, even those who have a hate for the other sex, and then there are those who kill this way in order to continue to be satisfied after the killing is completed. There are those who sleep with the dead for many days try to preserve them, eat them in order to feel as though they were still alive, or living inside of them. Strange but true they live among us, and for sure there are many more than we know about.

History and psychology of a nondiscussed subject
This was a quick easy read by Author RJ Parker explaining the history, psychology and different types of necrophilia, a subject that is not discussed very often. This book also features some male serial killers, famous and some not so famous who were involved with necrophilia as well as female cases of necrophilia. This was a very interesting and informative book.
