Lovely instruments easy to read and no batteries to find replacements for.
(shared review for 200mm metric and 12" imperial) Lovely instruments. OK not as easy to read as a digital but no battery to bother with and my old eyes can read then without glasses in light I could not read a vernier scale. They all have there place.Was about to say imperial a bit easier to read 0.1" divisions on shaft than 1mm on metric. But just realised if left half of dial then even mm, right half then odd. Which means reading to 2mm on shaft is also OK. (I can easily determine its 2 or 3 at a glance for example)Nice smooth action and accuracy good over the 1" (25mm for the French one) my micrometer can verify.
