I don't drink much coffee, so it doesn't make sense to brew a full pot for my husband to have a couple of cups in the morning. We began using the pod coffee system years ago when the Home Cafe systems were introduced (before the current K-cup models). The pod coffee system is perfect for our household, and Senseo is just about the only manufacturer still offering the pods. My husband rotates the Columbian with Sumatra and Expresso pods, but the Columbian is his favorite, and he says that it is a very rich and flavorful blend. The aroma when the coffee is brewing is wonderful, and for anyone who only drinks a few cups, this system is probably as cost effective as brewing a pot of coffee and throwing out half the pot; plus, with this system, every cup is fresh, not stale or left-over. The Columbian is a rich and dark blend and perfect for coffee drinkers who want a traditional flavor of coffee.

I still like my Senseo coffee maker a lot, and this is our favorite flavor. I like my coffee strong, but without the burned flavor of a dark roast. I use one pod for 4 ounces and my husband uses one for 8 ounces. We are enrolled in the program to have Amazon ship it to us automatically once a month, and that seems to be working well. The price may seem high when compared to regular ground coffee but we are making it the strength we want, there is no extra coffee to get dumped out and thrown away, it's much less expensive than the K-cup makers, and I can often pass up a trip to Starbucks because I know I can make coffee that I like at home. The Senseo makers are still very popular in Europe and I am glad I can still buy the pods here.

So many beautiful memories wrapped up in our time together each morning.We've been together what 10 or 15 years? You are such a daily part of my life I have lost track of the beginning. I know it took me awhile to commit to you - I flirted with Espresso and French Roast- but in the end you owned my heart! Meeting you for two double strength cups every morning was the best start to my day. Then you went missing for awhile and I was devastated.Imagine my relief to finally find you back on subscribe and save on Amazon! For long while our romance was so easy (121 orders, about once a month). Of course, like any long term relationship there were a few annoyances. Quite a few times the pods had quality control issues, with loose coffee in the bag. But having to clean them off was worth it- a small chore to still have my beloved Senseo Sumatra. The price fluctuated quite a but no matter, it was worth it at any price. I've begun to feel slightly guilty about the packaging, since the pods really don't compost well at all. But no matter, I empty the pods each day to compost the grounds so that I throw away less waste- it is worth it.Then recently, after all my loyalty, after all our time together, after all the ways I worked to keep you in my life, you have gone missing again. I called the number on your package - which was really hard to find by the way because the contrast is terribly difficult to actually read. They said “oh try this other web site they have stock”. They didn't, but I could rely for some time on my own stock, since experience has taught me to have a few cases on hand. I thought you would come back- I thought perhaps I could flirt with some of your friends again while I waited to stretch out the time- Columbian, Kona, Espresso. But none of them measured up so I kept hoping you would be back before it was too late. Now in my hour of need, with only one bag left, I still can't find you anywhere. ANYWHERE.So with a sad and heavy heart my beloved friend I am moving on to other brands. A new Sumatra will take your place in my favorite Senseo mug. The Senseo brand mark has almost worn away anyway, so I wont feel so guilty that I am cheating on you. You will always be my first Sumatra love, but I need someone more reliable to get me through the next 30 years or so of coffee drinking I still have in my life!I am sorry it is ending this way- thanks for the memories

I love this coffee! We have had Keurig and Keurig-type coffee makers, which were ridiculously expensive for both the equipment and the coffee itself, and the coffee brewed from these Senseo pods tastes FAR better, in my opinion. I use them in my office with the Hamilton Beach 49970 Personal Cup One Cup Pod Brewer, a $21 machine purchased here on Amazon in 2010 and still going strong. Both Keurigs we've purchased since have died. The coffee it produces using just one pod is absolutely delicious and actually motivates me to get to my office in the morning! All of the flavors I've tried have been good, but I've settled on the Kona as my absolute favorite, and that is the only one I buy now. So happy to be able to get it here on Amazon. I hope Senseo will continue to make this coffee for a long time. It's the best bargain out there.

I tried the Senseo brand of pods for our Senseo machine after finding another brand of decaf pods to be too strong for my taste (my spouse prefers that brand due to the stronger flavor). While I do like the flavor of the Senseo decaf better, and it produces a nice layer of foam on my coffee, I have to use 2 pods to get a regular strength cup. There is even a chart on the side of the package that explains you will need 2 pods for a regular strength 8 ounce cup. While this works, and we do have the correct part to hold 2 pods in our Senseo machine, this makes the cost of each cup twice as much as the brand that my spouse prefers. So, while this was a good test to see which brand had the better flavor, I will be going back to the other brand of pods we've found on Amazon when these are gone...which will happen quickly since I'm using 2 at a time.
