Can’t go wrong with this
What can I say it’s a military canteen. Needed a replacement found these thought it was a decent price. It came brand new even with the old military warehouse smell. Those of you who were in the military will understand that. No defects of any kind. Can’t go wrong with this purchase.

Yes, it's a real GI canteen ...
Yes, it's a real GI canteen, just add water and it does everything a real canteen is supposed to do. No batteries required. Doesn't leak, fits nicely into GI cup, slides right into its nylon pouch. I don't care for the M1 NBC cap, but it's there, it doesn't get in the way, doesn't bother me, I don't bother it. We co-exist.

I always carry my canteens where i go, and this's exactly like my issued one on MCRD San Diego without all the dirt and sand. Brand new and clean, lid seal is great and doesn't fall off easy. 5STARS.

Great plastic water canteen
If you are looking for a direct match military canteen - this one is it.I give it 5 stars a near perfect match. I give this and any other plastic canteen 4 stars or less. This is 4 stars because the plastic changes the flavor of the water. The one I had in the military was the same way. Very durable. Shape is intelligent to maximize water capacity. I'm happy with it, and I am okay with plastic taste, but wanted to point that out if you are sensitive to water organoleptics (taste and odor).
