I was reluctant to try eye envy, having heard horror stories of corneal ulcers if it got in the eyes. However, with a white persian foster cat, I needed something stronger than just warm water on a cotton round. You can see how gross he was in the before picture (sorry for the poor quality). The after picture is after the first use of eye envy, and I think it speaks for itself. The cat enjoyed the attention, and was well behaved, which helped me to feel better about using the product without it getting in his eyes. I also used a small plastic flea comb to help debride the fur in addition to the applicator pads, which really are way better than cotton rounds. They do not get linty or start falling apart, and are just abrasive enough to actually remove the staining without being too rough for the face. The powder and brush were also easy to use, and the cat really enjoyed the brush applicator. I did notice that he stayed cleaner and dryer with the powder than he had been before. It has been a week now, and I have cleaned his eyes another time, still with no signs of irritation. Overall, I am happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone with a particularly gunky cat. Also, I do think the starter kit is a good value for your first experience with the product. It will be nice to be able to send the kit with him when he is adopted.

My long haired white cat has always had 'weepy eyes'. No infection, vet says some cats just have more tears/discharge. Wouldn't be a problem on a darker cat, but since she's white the gunk really shows. She never minded having her eyes cleaned, but there were always stains left behind.This stuff REALLY works. I've tried everything cheaper, they helped a bit but never really cleaned that well, and it always came back.Three days of using this, and the fur around her eyes is white, the gunk is WAY lessened, and she looks beautiful.Worth every penny.So it's been 3 wks. I used it every day for a bit over 2 wks, and I'm doing every 2-3 days now. This is after 2 days of not using it. I don't have any before pics, because her eyes looked so bad.

This brand is truly the holy grail if you have a pet with white fur.The set isn’t cheap but it does last a very long time! The products are high quality, easy to use, and not only do they help removed debris and staining but even helps to PREVENT it! This kit is a 10/10, couldn’t recommend it more. Works perfectly for our white Persian cat

It does work! It takes some time, I got the results from it in about three weeks, and I use it every morning, as kitty has some clogged tear ducts. It has getting better and removing the tear stains little by little. I think it’s worth it!!

In the previous review I had read somebody stated their cat got an eye infection from using this product. I tried it anyway as I have used many different things to get the stains off and so far nothing worked. I got this and used it twice on my cat, the first time her eye got very infected, red, and irritated. I did avoid her eyes but around them. Then I used it again a few weeks later to be sure it was maybe something else at the same time. NOPE - it is this product!! Stick with something made in the US that is safe to use near cats' eyes. The cat got another infection and this time we had to go to the vet which cost over $400.00 to clear this up and test to make sure the cat didn't have permanent damage. DO NOT USE!!!!

It works great to remove stains, however, it is not preventing the stains as well as I would have liked. I think it depends on the serverity and color. I have a snow white persian.
