7.5 ft Twinkly Pre-Lit Aspen Pine Quick Set Artificial Christmas Tree, App-Controlled Multi-Color RGB Lights

Wanted a "smart" Christmas tree for a few years now, but waited for the prices to come down. Got this on a Black Friday sale at a price I was happy with. Arrived just before Thanksgiving, so we were able to set it up and decorate on the day after Thanksgiving, as per our family tradition.Setup was easy, as expected. The branches required very little "shaping," as advertised. Most of the fussing I did with it was just making sure all the hinged branches dropped fully into place, otherwise there are no unsightly gaps requiring me to spend an hour bending branch tips.The lights are very nice. If I could have, I would have bought a model with twice as many bulbs (this model has 390), but I just like lots of blinky lights on my tree. The app is relatively easy to use, could use some better navigation to find features like creating user-defined patterns. The biggest complaint about the app is that it is constantly prompting you with ads. I set up a scheduled playlist of a few of my favorite patterns, and it operates without problems. Integration with Alexa was also easy, so I can turn it on and off with voice commands if I want.Biggest complaint is that the top of the tree is not really full enough to support any kind of tree topper. I had to purchase a separate item that basically spirals around the top of the tree trunk to give you something more substantial to mount a topper to. Still waiting on that to arrive, but I think it'll work fine.Another complaint I have that isn't specific to this model of tree, but pre-lit trees in general, is with all the lit tree toppers out there these days, why do trees not come with an easily accessible, integrated electric cord to plug the topper into right at the top of the tree, instead of having to try to thread an extension cord up through the middle of the tree? Let's get on this, Christmas tree manufacturers!

After decades of buying a real tree and having to lug it into the house, balance it, ensure that water from the tree stand does not ruin the wood floor, and then cut the thing apart and dispose of it at the end of the season, my wife and I decided to buy an artificial tree. We wanted one that looked real and had built-in Twinkly brand lights that I can control from my iPhone. We first looked at the Balsam Hill trees, but the cost for a 7.5 foot tree was astronomical and the reviews were just mediocre. As luck would have it, I found this tree on Amazon and the reviews were outstanding. We took a chance and it sure paid off. The two of us assembled the 3-part tree in less than 10 minutes (we'll be a lot faster next time). Since I'm a Twinkly aficionado, I completed the Twinkly setup via my iphone in another 10 minutes. Voilà!This tree looks amazing and the quality of the materials with the pre-installed Twinkly lights makes this a winner. For the first time in over 40 years of marriage, we have our Christmas tree up before even Halloween. I guess that means the tree will be temporarily decorated with goblins, ghosts, and skeleton ornaments, with the Twinkly lights set to a Halloween theme.I highly recommend this product!

The media could not be loaded. This is my first ever artificial tree and I have to admit it was a tough choice. Like most, I've enjoyed the ritual of going and getting a tree, the smell of fresh pine, and having the feels over a good pick at the tree lot. This year was different. I'm an empty nester now and it didn't feel the same getting a tree by myself, plus though I love the smell of pine through out the house, I hate the clean up after. So this year I decided to get an artificial tree and I'm really pleased with this purchase!Pros - Easy setup, the lights are already integrated into the tree so you don't have to worry about cords and placement and there are a lot of lights! Light patterns are controlled through presets on the connected box or a phone app and are extremely customizable (no literally, I can draw what patterns I want on the tree and how they are animated on my phone, it's brilliant), Scheduling when you want the lights to come on and off through the app and even which patterns at what time. Looks Great! Oh and of course, no watering needed!Cons - Not really a con but worth noting, heavier than I thought it would be. I wish it had a plug at the top to connect a light up topping like a star on the tree. You can easily run an extension cord up the middle and do it that way, but you really shouldn't need to. Not a deal breaker but something to think about before you bust out the tree topping that you have used for years that would normally plug into the lights.Overall a great purchase especially since it's just me now and I look forward to using it next year.
