The Touch 4 is a variable amp controller at your finger tips. I installed mine into the protective torch sheath and taped it in 2 places to still allow flexibility where I needed it. I have not confirmed amp output on max as I set mine to 125 amps and went to town on 1/8 plate and works like a charm!

The 4 step amp control is a great idea and works quite well. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars for overall rating is because it is very sensitive to start. The sensitivity is needed though to keep the movement to a minimum when depressing the switch. However, it is extremely sensitive to the point that the torch ignites just by putting your finger on it. The four power levels are easily achieved and you can increase and decrease power as needed. There are times however, that the switch will not achieve the full power that is set on the machine while welding. I usually have to stop/end the weld, and then reignite the torch to get the full amperage set (the switch seems to stick a little or it may be in the actual electronics). It is very smooth when switching power levels and is well worth the money I spent.

Replaced the foot control. Much better in positions where it is hard to use the foot control. Will never go back

Perfect for difficult Out of Position Welding. When I first tried my controller, I couldn't get full power out of my torch head. Called SCC and immediately was answered and transferred to Brent. He sent me a return label and told me he would either refund my money, fix or replace my unit......MY CHOICE. I returned the unit and within 3 days got a email from Brent that they tested the unit and it seemed to be working correctly. I requested he send it back to me, which he did immediately. All this was done at the expense of SCC and in short order. I found that I needed to use somewhat more pressure to obtain the maximum out than I had expected. After making adjustments to my mounting and positioning of the switch I was in business. As other reviews stated it is somewhat difficult to control the small increments during the weld. However, with some practice, this became easier to accomplish. How refreshing to have a Made in America product serviced here in America with OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE. Thank You,

Great product, a lil tricky to get used to but once you figure out how much finger pressure it requires to change voltages it works like a charm. Plug fit my Lincoln Precision tig as advertised. Seller also had quick shipping and was packaged well. 😎

Don’t reagulat amperage

It does work. The cheap plastic on off switch, and the the amount of pressure you have to press to operate requires too much finesse.
