An elegant design piece and fantastic educational tool, all-in-one.
If you don't feel like waiting on SpaceX to get to Mars, get your hands on this amazing 3D printed model of Mars! First, the design and craftsmanship of this piece is astounding. It comes with a really nice glass display cube, to prop it up as the perfect conversation piece—the colors are incredible and it has a really nice weight to it.The augmented reality app takes the experience to a whole new level -- the terrain of Mars is extraordinary! Ever since I got this, so many guests ask me about it and it's a really fun time showing them the app and then discussing whether or not we would live on Mars. It makes a great gift, too.

Total Disappointment!
Wow, was I a sucker! I’d love to see the globe that the other two reviews received, because mine is a TERRIBLE waste of money. There is absolutely No 3-D effect to this globe. What looks like depth in the photo is created by the paint job. The silly ball is smooth. As I look at the picture I took and posted, it looks better in the photo than in real life! If you look at the edges of the sphere in my photo you will see this is just a smooth painted ball. What a disappointment.Update: I contacted AstroReality, the people who made this globe, and they said all the other PRO globes are handmade, whereas the MARS PRO globe is made with a 3-D printer. They claim that the Mars globe suffers for that reason. Reading the information provided on Amazon, and on AstroReality’s website, it seems that 3-D printing os used for all their PRO globes, so I’m wondering what the truth is. Anyway, the globe I received is not worth half the cost!

Good Purchase
Wow. Never learnt so much about Mars before i owned one of this amazing product offered by AstroReality. Comes in a very elegant box. Texture and color of Mars looks so appealing. Holding it in hand has a little bit of weight to it as well. Feels nice. Enabling Space tab while viewing the object (Mars) through the Augmented Reality App is simply amazing, There are certain pin points where we can click and learn more about Mars. And best off, this looks great as decorative showpiece as well. Highly recommended.
