Here's my caveat, which was also true of a different Diesel style I owned. In this case, I incorrectly assumed that the main closure was something other than Velcro (the description is literally correct, but the button closure is the single button at the top). Instead of a zipper or buttons, the suite closes with Velcro which results in a less than flattering line, at least on my suit. And very little support overall. The basic style look is strong, but the suit doesn't look this smooth and secure, especially coming out of the water.

"Old Guy" Speedo Alternative
Asthetically speaking, after awhile, one simply gets to the point where Speedo, even the jammers versions, are no longer a good idea, even if one still swims laps quite a bit. But, I don't like baggy legs that fill with air when you enter the water. I don't like over the knee-cap length boardsuits. I dislike plaids, stripes, flowers, etc. The outside string ties at the waist and the "underwear" protruding above the waistline look is not for me. This, of course, doesn't leave much to choose from these days. So, this swimsuit is okay as a fairly decent compromise. They obviously look like cut-off jeans, though the pockets, being unzippered, are really pretty useless for keys, etc., if one actually swims in these shorts. The belt loops are unnessesary as well. The legs, while not skin tight, aren't baggy or too long. To me, the buttoned waist looks much nicer than a shoe-string tie. Because these ride a bit low on the hip, I'd not recommend them to anyone carrying a significant "spare tire". Finally, the sizing is not quite what one might expect. I've always worn a size 30" waist regarding jeans, shorts, etc., but this was too large for me regarding this swimsuit; I had to return it for a size 28".

Fantastic Swimwear
I've been slowly transitioning over to designer swimwear lately. Why? Because designer fits so much better than a cheap pair of board shorts from a superstore; more often than not it's like wearing a boat sail around your waist. The amount of excess material is just insanity.Diesel's Kroobeach Board Short is another example of the high quality, well fitting clothing Diesel makes. What's even better is catching deal on Amazon where you can acquire designer items without burning a hole in your pocket. Actually in most cases with designer prices, taking a flamethrower to your pants. Or wherever your house your wallet. The shorts look exactly how is pictured, perhaps a little looser closer to the knee for me as I am still working on bulking up my legs in my weight-lifting. If I had to sum the fit up in a single statement it would be just enough material. Not baggy, but not tight. A reviewer seems to be unaware that these come in a Size 28 which I recommend getting if you are normally arounda 30" waist in American sizes. The fabric feels a little thinner than swimsuits I've had in the past but honestly thinner doesn't mean lower quality. Diesel is well known for making superior fabrics in their items and I feel the Kroobeach is no exception; the shorts are very well-made from the fabric to the stitching and I have no doubt they will last for a long time. Aesthetically, there's the belt loops (just for show), back pockets and a button front which is a nice change from a drawstring. As far as the pockets go, I wouldn't expect them to function too well. Diesel was obviously shooting for the look of actually wearing some type of shorts which is kind of cool in my opinion. Other than that there's not much more to review than what you can't already see. As far as board shorts go these are pretty "no-frills".These are great board shorts. If you like the look definitely snag a pair!

I am upset.
It is disappointed. Internal cowards from a grid are torn. On a belt in a seam a hole. I am upset.

Three Stars
They are of nice quality most Diesel products are but a size or two too small.

Great design, nice fabric but just a little bit too large!
I've giving it 4 stars because it's a bit larger than I wanted, though I've bought the smallest size they've got (30).The mesh inside is a nice touch and it comes off very easy if you don't want it. The fabric is very nice also I can't wait to try them in the water!

If you have big legs and workout, these may appear to be a bit tight, but other than that, they're sexy and comfortable.

I usually can get my beach shorts in a size 30 and they are just right. These 30 size diesel shorts hang so low , I definately need the 28
