I purchased this solar cover because we live in the Northeast and I wanted to have my pool warm enough for my husband to enjoy. He does not like a cold pool. We have had our pool for 10 years and he has only gone in a handful of times, so I thought I would try a solar blanket. Well..what a difference this made. I bought one that was a little bigger than my 18 x 30 oval pool and it was fairly easy to cut to size. It fits perfectly. It is easy to put on and take off, although my husband made hooks for it on the side of the pool so it wasn’t laying on the ground or in the grass. We looked it up on youTube and he made them in a couple of hours. My husband has been in the pool almost every day! I am so happy woth how well this works and now we can enjoy the pool together! Even if it only lasts one season, but I think it will last longer, it was worth it. I will definitely buy it again whenever this one is no longer viable. I would definitely recommend this. THE FIRST ONE I BOUGHT WAS GREAT AS YOU CAN SEE BY MY REVIEW, AND IT LASTED 4 SEASONS. I PURCHASED ONE THIS YEAR AND THE QUALITY IS NOT THE SAME. IT IS NOT AS THICK AS THE FIRST ONE AND I DON’T THINK IT WILL LAST AS LONG AS THE FIRST ONE. THEY AHOULD HAVE KEPT THE SAME THICKNESS. IT STILL WORKS GREAT BUT MORE FLIMSY AND HARDER TO HANDLE. I WOULD STILL RECOMMEND BECAUSE IT WORKS BUT WHEN I AM READY TO BUY THE NEXT ONE I WILL MAKE SURE IT IS THICKER.

We bought this pool cover mainly to help heat our pool and keep the leaves out—and it has absolutely delivered on both fronts. Not only has it noticeably warmed our pool, but it also acts as a protective barrier against debris, helping to keep the water much cleaner than before. We’ve seen a big reduction in the number of leaves sinking to the bottom, which means less time spent skimming and vacuuming—huge win! One of the best things about this cover is how durable it has proven to be. We’ve got a couple of energetic pre-teens who have no problem removing and reinstalling it (it's surprisingly easy to handle), and so far it’s held up without any signs of wear. We’ve also had a few storms roll through since we got it, including some that dropped small limbs and a ton of leaves right onto the cover. Still, it held strong without any rips or damage. To top it off, our curious dog decided to test it by trying to run across it—definitely not recommended, but we were amazed it didn’t tear or stretch. This thing is tough! Cleaning is a breeze. We just pull it off the pool, spread it out in the yard, and let it dry. As it dries, most of the leaves and twigs naturally fall off. A quick shake and it's ready to go right back on the pool. For the price, this has been an outstanding purchase. Every other cover we looked at was significantly more expensive, and honestly, I can’t imagine they’d perform any better. This one does exactly what we need, and then some. Highly recommended!

EDIT-I got a response back from the company and they are issuing a refund due to unavailability so cannot get a replacement. They were quick to respond and resolve the issue. I have an email out to the company and will change my review pending their response. We purchased this solar cover a couple weeks ago-last night we finally got our pool opened and put the solar cover on the reel and onto the pool. My hubby then noticed there was separation up and down one of the seams! The other seams look like they will do the same thing soon. It looks like it may have been too hot when it was put together so its defective. We haven't even used this solar cover-but it's already installed and no possible way for us to return it. At this point, the solar cover is junk and will fall apart. We have had a pool for 20+ years and we replace the solar cover every 2-3 years. We've gone thru a fair share of solar covers thru the years and have never gotten a defective one until now. I've already asked for a replacement from the company.

Cleanliness: This solar cover was perfect even with as big as it is I was able to put it on myself. I was also able to take it off myself I rolled it off to keep it nice and easy to put it back on. It raised the temp of the water by 5 to 10 degrees it truly was a good purchase. I was skeptical because I've purchased solar covers before that never worked. I am very happy with this purchase.

Wish I could give zero stars! Do not recommend, I ordered this cover and used it this season. It has completely fallen apart used June-July it is now the beginning of August and I now have thousands of bubbles in my pump and floating in my pool! Manufacturer refused to refund or send a replacement. Go with a reputable company who stands behind their product and do not buy from them!

Great for our pool for the grandkids. Easy to put on and take off because it’s light weight. One person can do it themselves

Compared to past solar blankets, this one felt thin and flimsy. Good news is that it’s much less bulky and easier for one person to handle. Not sure if it’s just that solar blankets have evolved and not as heavy now….or just thin. The pool is warming, so it’s working! Update to follow when we remove it to store
