Decent projector for the price!
This projector is a pretty decent unit for the price. Our family was able to set this up in our yard and watch a movie outside which was neat and a great memory builder. Also used this device for a wedding anniversary to play a video I created and it worked great. Interal speakers worked fine and fairly loud. Screen not as bright as other high end models but pretty decent for the price. Get a average screen and it helps with quality and brightness. Great projector for those looking for a budget friendly option!

Good for spur of the moment movie watching in
I bought this to project Halloween scenes. It seems Lumens is the most exaggerated metric sellers use to make you think you are getting a great deal. You just are not gong to get a home theater quality projector at this price point. You will want all the lights off to get a good view. I took this camping and set up a projector tarp and we watched a movie. My kids have set it up in there room when friends slept over and watched it on the ceiling! All the inputs worked great. I had the scenes on a micro sd card and they played just fine. All these cheap players seem to have the same operating system so the on screen menus look the same from device to device. You can change the settings with buttons on the player. You don't have to rely only on the remote. One great feature was when playing, the pop up menu had a feature where you could set the start point and end point of a video file. This would allow you to loop the video without ever having it fade to black. But you would have to set these points each and every time you powered on, there wasn't any save feature. Options also exist for repeating a single video file or starting over playing a set of videos in a folder. The focus ring worked fine and it has keystone correction for vertical but it is very limited. There is no side to side keystone correction at all.The Bluetooth worked great. I connected with a speaker and my headphones and sound came through no problem. But you will want to turn Bluetooth off if not using because it will keep searching and try to pair with found devices making the sound stutter. The built in speaker worked but don't expect booming surround sound. Please note! If you are using HDMI cable and you don't hear any sound. Go into the menu of the device playing the DVD or blueray disc and change the sound setting. The video projector will not decode dolby surround sound. Change the sound setting to a basic stereo sound signal. And when playing the disc, movies have sound menus as well that you need to change. Its AC powered, there is no battery. The cord is about 6 feet long with the power brick right in the middle. So you only have 3 feet to work with before the power brick is hanging mid air putting pressure on the plug going in to the player. You will want to have an extension cord most likely to position and keep from stressing the power plug. Great player for a good price.

Great Projector for the Money
I needed this for use in teaching workshops. The brightness was not as bright as I'd like, but it works fine for its intended use. Nice clarity. Syncs well using HDMI to my MacBook Pro which was an issue for the other projector I purchased and returned. If you have a Mac, plan to use HDMI, it's the most reliable method. Very Satisfied!

Visual Enhancement
Purchased this product to be used in a bible study. It's size and weight make it very versatile to use in different locations. Clarity is very good and great to connect to a laptop for visuals. A great value !

Beware VirVentures. They charged a fee even though the projector did not perform as promised.
The projector does not project a bright picture. You will be well served to investigate other options. Also the store VirVentures charges a restocking fee. You should be aware of that before you purchase anything from them.

looking for the bare minimum, here it is
I was given this projector as a gift from my daughter for Christmas. She has a part-time job so it took her a while to save for this gift along with others for the family. Why do I bring this up, because I think it was not worth the money spent on it.As with many other electronic products you purchase on-line, many of us have certain expectations, like batteries for the the remote control, or the necessary cables to connect the projector to your laptop, etc. etc. Well, the GPX Mini Projector with Bluetooth, doesn't offer any of that. When I opened the box, I expected everything to be there for me to give it a test run. What I found was a LARGE system, not mini by any stretch of the imagination, and no HDMI or USB cables. Instead I found RCA cables, yes you read that correctly, RCA cables. I have not seen those for about a decade and I can't think of a single system that still uses those cables on modern laptops.Needles to say I hid my shock from my daughter and grabbed the remote control which did not have batteries. As with may other electronics we purchase I went looking for the batteries when to my surprise, I didn't see any. So, I went out and purchased HDMI cables and triple A batteries to use the projector. The Bluetooth feature is great but it doesn't work very well. There was a delay between the sound and the picture which did nothing but frustrate me even more. Now I will say that the Bluetooth feature must be on steroids because I was getting devices from my neighbors which was very uncomfortable when they asked if we were trying to watch something using Bluetooth. They said their system would turn on and start playing whatever we were trying to watch. VERY UNCOMFORTABLE indeed. Next was the HDMI outlet, which had trouble holding the weight of the HDMI cable. You have to stand there and wiggle it until you get a connection. In summary1. the projector is large - not mini2. no HDMI and USB cables3. RCA cables included which is outdated technology for laptops4. no batteries for the remote control5. HMDI outlet requires wiggling it to make the connection workIn a nutshell - I would NOT, I repeat, NOT recommend this product to anyone.
