Q: Will this sprinkler fit into a rainbird cup or plastic outer cover?

I have used Rainbird Maxipaws for 30 years and their recent precipitous quality decline has led me to evaluate other options. I found that the Pulse XL screws right into the Maxipaw body for an easy, direct replacement. The Pulse XL cap top rides slightly above the Maxipaw seal point but at an acceptable elevation. Try it for yourself by buying one and trying it in your installation. Good-bye, Maxipaw!

Q: can anyone tell me what the REAL spray distance is on these?

The "Real" distance depends on which nozzle you put on the sprinkler and what water pressure you have. I estimate the distance to be anywhere between 15-18 feet.

Q: Is there a version without the side port on it. So changing them out would be easier

If you get the tool, you can take the guts out of the old one and take the guts out of the broken one and replace it that way, so you don't to worry about the bottom or side port.

Q: Can these be ordered by the case

order as many as you need and they will arrive in a box.

Inexpensive alternative to Rainbird

Replaced a Rainbird sprinkler mechanism by removing the Orbit sprinkler from its case and installing it in the already in ground Rainbird case. It was easy to do and the Orbit mechanism works well.
