Great product
We love this tape. It works great on our RV. Seals all the seams on the roof. A little difficult to use, if it gets stuck to it's self, IT WILL NOT TURN LOOSE. Easier to use if two people work on it. It depends on what you are using it on as to how easy it comes off. If you use it on vinyl it is really hard to get off. On the roof of the RV it can be repositioned for a short while. Will not stick to canvas on the sides of a pop up camper. As I said , we love it, just ordered our third roll.

Get it right the first time
There is no problem with the adhesion on this product. Time will tell how it stands up to the elements. When placing it go very slow and don't make any mistakes becasue it isn't coming back up without tearing it off.

Where has it been all my life?
I purchased both the 2 inch and 4 inch version from the same company, 50 ft rolls even. Restoring an old RV that was caked in silicone and roof coating, basically they decided to band-aid a gushing wound. I wanted to do it right and take it down to the bare metal and start over from factory, mastic tape to the rescue! I used the 4 inch on the main roof seams after I scraped and sanded the silicone off and rubbed it down with acetone so it would be a nice clean surface for the E-SDS RV Roof Tape to stick to.Firstly; be smart about it, don't peel the entire plastic protector off before laying it down. There is that chance it will fold in on itself and you'll either waste a large chunk that sticks and you'll never get it apart again, or it falls on the surface and sticks with no chance of it coming up ever again.Great adhesive property! It moulds very well on corners and slight deviations in the surface. I look forward to seeing how well the UV resistance holds up; yet, at the same time I hope to never change it out again! I do plan on using a high quality roof coating over it to help promote weather-ability, and also to seal out any possible pin hole leaks from any portion that might not have laid perfectly flat.A good tip: Lay out the pre-measured strip over the area you will be sealing, put something slightly heavy on the tail end to keep it in place and lined up straight, or maybe a piece of masking tape. Start a small section peeled back on the plastic on the surface you wish to start on, line it up one more time and reach under the strip with two fingers to grab the protective plastic and pull directly back in the same direction as the unpeeled strip - keeping the plastic you are peeling off under the tape. This "should" keep you going in a straight line and help pull the tape to the surface you are sealing, while you use your free hand to press the tape down as you go.
