Was easy to use. The parts accepted solder properly which is not always the case, unfortunately.

Evaluation: Outer contact: solder hole diameter = #53 drill = 0.0595 inches = 1.51 mm = #16 AWG maximum Inner contact; solder hold diameter = #56 drill = 0.0465 inches = 1.18 mm = #18 AWG maximum I used #22 AWG stranded wire in both contacts and was able to solder each contact easily. The plug fit into the device I was testing snugly and with a decent amount of force so that good contact was made yet the plug could be removed or inserted many times. The company that makes these small solar panels I use do not offer replacement cords. I figured out the size of the plug and purchased these to build my own. They solar on easily, are well built and fit exactly as needed. Good product of the money.

The plastic is fairly thin so if you pull the outer case to pull out the plug you may run the chance of stripping the molded in threads. It hasn't happened so far but it isn't very robust. I would pay more for better quality but they are hard to find. These are decent quality and good value for the price, easy to solder and work OK.

Sturdy and works well.
