Great controller! Configuration Problems? There is a fix!
When I first started using this controller it worked right out of the box. And then something happened and I didn't know what. It either wouldn't get recognized as a controller or the button mapping and configuration would be off. I finally found out that the lights between the d-pad and the right thumbstick show its current configuration. To change it you have to hold the turbo button and home buttons down for roughly 5 seconds. To make this be considered an xbox 360 controller on windows you have to change the cofigurations so that the top two lights show and the bottom two lights show. You can confirm this by looking at the control panel/ devices and printers to see it as an "xbox 360 controller for windows". I like this controller. I give it 4 stars because it did take me some serious troubleshooting to find this out.

Step by Step what this controller DOES AND DOESNT OFFER for YOU to make an Informed decision!
Let me start by saying please take the Q and A with a grain of salt for this product because disappointingly there is a TON OF MISINFORMATION IN THE ANSWERS.Ok, so why did I pick this controller over the LARGE selection of Xbox like generics.I remember the best feeling and comfortable controller I ever had/used was the Xbox360 controller. The weight and size felt so comfortable for me personally. While the Xbox 1 controller is a little different (and imo not as comfortable as the 360) it is in the ballpark but I didnt wanna spend $60.So that leaves us with the generics ranging in price from just over $10 to almost as much money as one can spend.SO WHY THIS ONE....Three key options that mattered in my decision.1. WEIGHT....The Original 360 was nice and heavy compared to other controllers, it felt like a solid tool, add the battery pack in the back and you have no doubt your holding something....I like that, I didnt want some controllers to feel like a feather, thats not the tactile feeling that appeals to me.So the Xbox 360 is roughly 11 ounces WITHOUT the batteries and roughly 13 with. This Controller I p/u is 10.41 ounces....Compare to many others that are far to light (talking 8 ou for most)2. Dimensions....It can be overlooked but if your a fan of the 360 feel then you dont want a baby sized version do we??Of course NOT (Sidenote-PS3 controllers were so tiny it made me feel I was using a babies toy...thankfully the Ps4 rectified that nonsense)Oem 360 Dimensions-8.1 x 6.8 x 2.5 inchesThis controller- 6.37 x 4.99 x 3.07 inchesBUT THEY ARENT THE SAME YOU SAY!!!Correct...But compare to the slew of others and its one of the BIGGER sized Generics (Go ahead and take a look, the vast majority are smaller then this controller which is a NO-NO imo)While not an exact in size it is comparable in feel along with the other options being even smaller.3.Vibration....Many of the cheaper generics dont offer this option, this was a must have in a controller I picked. The short of it....Size, weight comparable.Vibration...YES....With 5 options of vibration strength you can choose with an option to turn it off.LED Lighting....YES....With several options to adjust the brightness to your liking or TURN IT OFF COMPLETELY.(In the Q and A several answers are factually wrong, this being one where people are saying the LEDS CANT BE TURNED OFF....THAT OF COURSE IS INCORRECT, one look over the Manual that comes with this controller shows that.Turbo...Very easy to turn on and off that allows you to set 1 button as turbo if you choose to.D-Pad/Left Joy Switch...YES, just like the Original controller you are able to swap the D-Pad and Ljoystick if you prefer using one over the other for movement etc.XInput AND DINPUT....I put DINPUT in all caps for a reason....AGAIN, Misinformation is being spread on the Q AND A with some customers claiming it is only X.WRONG....And once again a simple look at the manual shows an easy to use option to change from X to D at will.WHY IS THAT IMPORTANT...Because that is what the mass majority of how PC, Android games etc read the controller, XInput being the majority of what games read and OLDER Pc games reading DInput. This controller has both covered and many of the other Generics DO NOT.This controller is Compatible with PS3, Switch, Windows 10/8/7 PC, Laptop, TV Box, Android Mobile Phones, 6.5 ft USB Cable.Lastly, there is a vid in that section for this controller showing someone using a otg cable (On the Go) to plug there controller into their laptop...This isnt needed for a windows laptop, just plug it into your Usb port (Otg cable is only needed for an Android phone and Ps3).In conclusion....This is a good generic with a great amount of bells and whistles that give the player some personal control over how they like playing.I personally use it for Pc Gaming when a controller is a better option then KB/M.If you read all that then you want to make an informed purchase, please dont be the guy who runs to Q And A asking if this will "WORK WITH COD"?Google is their for a reason, clogging up the Q AND A making it difficult for others to wade through the waste to get relevant info is sadly a norm on Amazon, along with a worse offender being actual wrong information all over the place. What I stated above I STAND BEHIND 100%, if what the controller offers is what your looking for I have np saying you should pull the trigger.

Good wired game controller that does the job
Very good controller in it of itself. Very much a hybrid between an Xbox controller (given the regular button naming and design) and a Nintendo Switch Pro controller (given the design of the center home and + - buttons). The grips feel good, it's very lightweight, the buttons are comfortable and responsive, as are the joysticks. The backlighting is really cool. as is the design of A B X Y buttons. During gameplay itself, the controller does the job. The controls are responsive, vibration is excellent (bit more intense than some controllers I've used), and everything works as it should from a gameplay perspective. The controller is wired so you are limited in terms of distance. The cord itself is fairly long (6.5 ft) so its good for PCs and I'm guessing PC gaming is in fact the main intention for this controller (I'm primarily a console gamer myself). No connectivity issues to worry about that sometimes plague wireless controllers. But if more distance is what you prefer, particularly for console gaming, you probably want to stick to wireless. The controller works fine on the Nintendo Switch, again, if you're ok with using a wired controller no more than 6.5 feet away from your television. The setup is a little tricky though, you must make sure that "Pro Controller Wired Communication" is set to "On" (by default its "Off") on your Settings screen under Controllers and Sensors. Without this setting, the controller will register, but the inputs will not work. This would also mean that wireless communication for things like Amiibos would no longer work on a regular wireless Switch Pro Controller until that setting is changed back to Off. The manual does mention this setup step, but it mentions it on a page before the steps to plug in the controller, so make sure to check that when using this for the Switch.I wasn't able to test this controller on a PS3 since I do not have one, so I wouldn't know for sure how the setup works there. The manual though, simply says plug and play.I did some further testing while plugging the controller into a computer and it appears that this is more or less a wired third party Xbox 360 controller (which interestingly, the manual or box does not appear to mention). Makes sense considering the controller's design is mostly identical to an Xbox controller, but there's no mention of Xbox 360 compatibility on the box or manual. Whether or not the controller actually works on an Xbox 360, I can't verify, but its a curious find nonetheless and maybe someone is or was able to test it on an Xbox 360 and confirm it here.As far as the remaining compatibility, I would assume it connects just fine to a Windows PC (appears to at least get recognized), though I'm not sure if you may or may not need to install a driver for the Xbox 360 controller (the manual simply says plug and play so maybe that's the case, but be ready to do some googling if that doesn't quite happen). I actually was even able to get it working on a Mac OS machine, though that took a few more hoop jumps and the manual does not mention Mac OS compatibility. But nonetheless, I was able to get it to work there as well. For Android devices, one would at least have to purchase a USB to micro-USB converter for that. I have yet to do so at the time of writing so I cannot say for sure, but I may look into that further later on.So overall, this is a very nice controller, especially for PC gaming that also doubles as a really nice wired console controller. I really like the design (Xbox controllers, Switch Pro Controllers, and similar are some of the best out there in my opinion) and this controller does the job. If you're a PC gamer and looking for an inexpensive controller for PC gaming, I definitely would say give this one a shot. If you're a console gamer (Switch, PS3, possibly even Xbox 360), prefer wired controllers, and don't mind playing at a shorter distance (say if you're using a monitor setup as opposed to a television setup), definitely consider this as well.

Affordable, light-weight controller
I needed a controller so I could git gud at Dark Souls on PC, and this controller does the job without needing to spend absurd amounts of money. It's light-weight, responsive, and doesn't feel 'janky' like many cheap controllers tend to be.Suffice to say, I got gud.
