Ladder Roof Racks For Van

My husband was looking for roof racks, and these are the best. Well made and easy to install, they fit perfectly.

I installed these by myself, they fit like a glove and only took about 30 mins. from start to finish. These are not cheaply made, they are strong and durable.

Did not come with instructions. Had to purchase additional hardware because the bolts it came with were too small to hold the pieces together securely. Otherwise, it seems fine and is working as hoped.

Part 1: So.. I’ll start with the arrival of the products. I received the box all out of shape, the metal is kinda heavy and the cardboard is very flimsy. Upon opening the box there was dirt inside and also inside the bags containing the metal base and tubes. The paint did have some nicks to it all the way down to bare metal, repainting may be needed. Nothing was missing, all nuts, bolts, and washers were there. Installation was pretty easy for me, I kinda panicked when I noticed that this one was not adjustable but it fit perfect, it probably took me about 30 minutes to get it done. I’ll write a part two after some days/weeks to see how it holds up Part 2: So I reviewed this a few months back. My set up on my van has held up nicely. There is no rust on them. I did notice there was more wind noise when driving down the highway but no biggie. I didn’t have any issues with the included hardware Part 3: This rack has been up there holding on strong to this day. There is a bit of rust showing but still working great. 05/19/24

Easy installation, and has been doing very well for our canopy, ladders, etc.

I'd spend more for a name brand had I to do it over. The sockets in the uprights for the crossbar are much to big. If you want the crossbar at the top of the socket, you'll have to clamp them in place while you install the self drilling screws. All of the weight on the rack is now bearing on those #8 screws which can't be tightened because the sockets are too wide. I ended up enlarging the holes in the socket to 1/4" and drilling through the crossbar and using stainless steel bolts and locking nuts. The lack of instructions makes some measuring and pondering needed before installation. Here's what I found. As mentioned in the Questions & Answers section for this product listing, the pair of shorter uprights are for the center rack. The shorter cross bar is for the back rack. There is a 3/8" diameter "sight hole" through the socket. Mount the cross bar end at the edge of the hole closest to the outside of the upright.
