Time told the store
I installed this in my 1997 BMW Z3 almost a year ago. I wanted to see how this product held up after some time and I am happy to report that it still looks great and there are no signs of wear. It also feels good to the touch. Cool look that updated the car without going to far.

Fits 2015 Jeep JK
Fits a 2015 Jeep JK good. The description says it won't fit an automatic. It does. I used a 3.25 for the main shifter and a 2.5 for the transfer case shifter. They both real real solid with included adapter sleeves.I added blue loctite to the retention screws, so they should not loosen up. Tighten evenly, with one facing front and other two towards the back corners of the vehicle. That way the screws will bite on the fyll width of the shifter rods, missing the cutouts (flat areas).Install was about 20 minutes for both. Engage parking brake. Put both shifters in nuetral, for angle of pull and clearanxe yo work. For original main knob removal, work the bottom beauty ring off with a small flathead, pry the 4 sections that form a clip (just enough to loosen, not break), and the it comes right off. For the transfer case knob, you will need to use brute strength. Pull and trust side to side a little. Comes loose abruptly. Be prepared.

Disappointed... Looks Good, But Fails in the Heat
I initially bought this in March and installed it with no issues. I live in the Mid-Atlantic, so the weather was mild at the time. It mounted securely to the existing shifter bolt, and everything seemed fine… the only quirk was the magnetic gear indicator rotating slightly over time. Minor annoyance. I was ready to give it 4 or 5 stars. But then summer hit… I drive a 2016 Toyota 86, which, like most cars with long, angled windshields, gets pretty warm inside. But this thing? It got hot. I mean burn-your-hand hot. The metal was nearly untouchable on the first 90-degree day. Worse, yet the rubber sleeve used to secure the knob completely broke down in the heat. It degraded so quickly that within a week, the knob could be pulled off with barely any effort. No resistance at all. It’s now effectively useless. It’s a shame… the knob itself is attractive and well-made. But the mounting system, especially those rubber sleeves, just can’t handle summer temperatures. And considering most of the U.S. deals with 85+ degrees for months, that’s a major design flaw. What started as a 4-star product is now a 1-star review. It looks great but can't survive the season. Not worth it.

The more I see it the more I am liking it…
I installed this on my 2012 Jeep Patriot; it has an automatic transmission. The most difficult part was taking off the original shift handle. There is a short video on YouTube that shows how to separate the “beauty fastener” with a small flathead screwdriver. Pulling the original know off was the most difficult part. I chose the provided insert that best fit the auto shift. I pound it down with a rubber mallet all the way. Then I followed the directions and backed out the fastening screws flush with the inside. Put the knob in place then tightened the fascinating screws down until they wouldn’t turn any further or had very little play. What do I like? The color and sleekness. My interior is almost entirely dark gray. Adding some red trimming really brings out the interior. What do I not like. The original shift knob is big; probably double the size of this replacement. I had originally placed the larger knob in the cart, the page warning said it would not fit my vehicle. I suspect it would’ve fit. Also, this is a entirely metal knob, so it is cold on fall/winter days and nights. However with it being on an automatic I am only touching the knob a couple times on all operations.

Good Buy!! Value for money !!
Had to replace the knob on my mustang. This was a good value for money. Didn't look very similar to my mustang's knob but works well. The color combinations are nice and comes with multiple size options to fit different gears. Would recommend if you are not looking for a like for like replacement. Its a good alternative at a very good price.

You Get What You Pay For
While it lasted, it was a solid buy. The weighting was great, even though the metal got pretty hot. However, if you see other reviews that mention the plastic guard on the inside falling apart, it’s true. The screws that go into the plastic to keep everything in place were eventually what caused the guard to separate completely in half.Expansion and compression in heat over time cause the plastic to last quite a short time, and a month and a half after my purchase, the only 1 of 4 guards that fit is completely out of commission and the product is useless.

Only acceptable for winter use
This was a PAIN to install, mostly because it's not threaded whatsoever as the product description states. Instead, you get a few poorly-molded semi-conical plastic doohickeys, that you somehow have to figure out how to fit over the threads. You can whack it with a hammer and have it tear itself apart sliding over the threads, or you can twist it and have it tear little bits of itself away until it gets stuck halfway on. There's really no good way to do this. Those plastic things are the allegedly-but-not-really "threaded" adapters. Then you just slip the gear shifter over it and tighten the set screws. It works good enough... in the winter. But as soon as you get a sunny day above about 50 degrees Fahrenheit, the plastic (not-)threaded adapter is so pliable that the whole assembly just flops around. I tried screwing it on more, further tightening set screws, etc. to no avail. This is just a junk product.Looks cool and the sticker hasn't fallen off yet. Much lighter than my stock Corolla shifter.
