Verity was an absolute page-turner. I finished it in about 12 hours because I could not put it down. I don’t read often and usually don’t enjoy dense books, but this one was very easy to read and kept my attention the entire time. It was so suspenseful, with just the right amount of romance mixed in, and the ending was absolutely crazy. Overall, I loved this book by Colleen Hoover and would definitely recommend it. A must read. Review: WOW! Just wow! Sensational Terrifying Read! - I have read some great love stories in my years, but this had me riveted from page 1. A well written story bobbing and weaving all over the place. It kept me glued to the very end and then some! I can't stop thinking about it. Well done!

Gripping, but Not Groundbreaking
Verity is very engaging from beginning to end and definitely keeps you turning the pages. The plot twists are good and effective, but not exactly phenomenal or shocking if you’re used to thrillers in this genre. The pacing is strong and the story holds your attention throughout, which makes it an easy, fast read. That said, the epilogue feels unnecessary and, in my opinion, isn’t worth reading—it doesn’t add much and slightly takes away from the overall impact of the story.

Dark, Disturbing, and Addictive
Verity is honestly a very dark and different kind of book. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, that final letter completely changed everything — WOW. The mystery kept me on my toes the entire time and I couldn’t stop thinking about it even after I finished. I loved the darkness, the twists, and how uncomfortable it made me feel in the best way. Definitely not a light read, but absolutely unforgettable.

No Spoilers
My goodness — did Hoover deliver with this one. I absolutely could not put it down. Dark, twisted, and dripping with suspense, this book pulls you in and refuses to let go. I was hesitant to read it at first because it’s so different from the genres she’s known for — but wow. This proves her range in the best way. The tension builds relentlessly, the atmosphere is unsettling, and you’re constantly questioning everything as you read. It’s disturbing in that can’t-look-away kind of way and stays with you long after you finish.

A Psychological Trap You’ll Fall Into Willingly
Verity is dark, unsettling, and impossible to put down. I was disturbed but obsessed, racing through pages trying to pin down the truth, only to find it deliberately elusive. The manuscript at the center is chillingly intimate, drawing you into a space where every character feels suspect and every motive feels calculated. The line between truth and manipulation is so blurred that you’re trapped in the story, questioning everything — including yourself. The pacing is relentless, and the ending is infuriatingly brilliant. It offers no clean answers, leaving you unsettled and thinking long after the last page. This is not for sensitive readers. Graphic content and disturbing themes, including harm to children, make it a challenging read. But if you crave stories that are twisted, addictive, and unapologetically dark, Verity delivers.

A Fun Read
4/5 At its core: a fun read. You can kind of foresee most of the major plot points, but I didn't get the feeling that the novel is intending to shock you - it's more about the main character facing the actual events and their severity. The main character isn't very interesting or particularly likable, which makes it kind of weird when romance enters the picture. It's all kind of ridiculous when you think about it, but there are some creepy moments and the absurdity of it all is what makes it so fun to read. All in all, it's a quick, easy read that most readers won't regret.

Heel goed, de verkoper had een aardig berichtje in het boek gedaan omdat hij dacht dat het de verkeerde taal was. Uiteindelijk had ik graag de Engelse versie, dus bedankt!
