Smell of this herb , will go with any food - meat , fish , soup , …..

As Eastern European i am used to use this on soups, i obviously would prefer fresh but this is the optimal choice after the fresh one. The only thing i don’t understand but accept, is the price, for few grams of dry leaves, not even a full bag.

Very happy with this purchase. I used to grow lovage but no longer can and it's such a wonderful flavoring so hard to come by if not growing. Wonderful in potato salad or any dish you want that celery heart flavor to come into. It is flakes (not powder) kind of like the lovage I used to dry myself. The packaging does say it could contain soy, gluten, milk or eggs, so it is processed in a plant where those products are used also. It appears to be just a dried herb with nothing extra added. Exactly what I was looking for. I am allergic to celery and this is a great replacement in soups and stews! It tastes like a cross between celery & parsley. But be aware: it is very potent. Just a tiny bit is needed in recipes.

Lovage is like a robust parsley used primarily in Eastern European cooking. I like to use it in soups and some salads to impart authentic flavors.

The dried ones do not taste like the fresh ones.
