COWLES T3802 Door Edge Guard

Great product! I have a black truck and the color blended seamlessly. Was easy to install, stays secure, and I was able to trim it to the right length easily.

these are a very good buy---much less than those from a dealer. they look, stick, install and work well. the only caution is that for some vehicles they may not extend the length of the entire door---which is really fine since most doors don't require more. but you can always buy and cut an extra piece and butt it up against the other w/o any real visual issues---especially if done at the bottom of the door.

Glue could be better. They slide around and lift off the door in the summer (black car). Otherwise attractive and durable.

Installation was easy and product looks great. Installed during cooler weather so I used a heat gun to warm the door edges and molding. It made the molding very flexible and easy to shape around the curves in the door. One tip I will offer is that the adhesive is very sticky so be sure to start installing the edge where you want it to be. There is no sliding or adjusting.

Chose this item due to ratings...very happy. I had minor "door ding" damage to the outer edge of a door this covered it and looks very nice not to mention it will protect the edge. I have a Lexus Rx540h and the doors are very curvy but the adhesive held it in place very well. Cant speak of longevity just yet but initially well pleased.Its been about 1-1/2 years since installed and I'm not happy with the product. During the summer the adhesive became very loose and let the edge molding come off, it will go back on but it continually comes off. Another issue worse than that is the glue has built a hard residue around the edge of the molding and I don't know how hard that will be to remove from the door - initially it looks to be very difficult to remove- thats a very bad thing which means I am reducing my rating from a 5 star to a 1 star and would not recommend this product

Purchased this to put on my truck doors not knowing it would only be 2 short pieces i would receive (about 3 foot each) and would only do half of the 2 doors, I was able to just do my tailgate. I purchased 18 feet of black door edging at Walmart for less money.

The doors on my 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited were constantly swinging open into the brick carport wall. I would touch up the paint but it would just get chipped off again. These door guards prevent that and since the back door edges are shorter I was able to use just one pair and cut them longer for the front and shorter for the back. Just make sure you install them starting about 3 inches above the bottom of the window since that is the wide point on the door. Because once they are on they don't move due to the adhesive inside. Five minute easy install.

No complaints...only great reviews for this product. It's easy to use and you can get enough to replace pieces that may occasionally get lost and/or pulled off by car washes, etc. The "glue" down the center of the edging track holds it nice and securely and it looks great.
