Great for those having difficulty drinking from a cup
I am not sure I can say enough good things about the Honey Bear cup. This cup is great for kids that are just learning to drink from a straw. This cup is used a lot for children with special needs that have difficulty drinking from a cup. The cup is made from plastic this is soft enough that you can squeeze the liquid up through the straw. This helps teach the child how to use the straw before the know how to suck. The straw is clear and flexible. The straw reminds me of aquarium tubing but is not so thick of material but has a larger opening. The cup comes with a flip open lid that will close and is spill proof. This cup will work with just about any liquids. I have used it with thickened liquids and the kids are able to get them up the straw because the straw has more of an opening than a regular straw. I have used this type of cup with a lot of kids have seen great results. This cup is affordable and seems to last a long time. I have had no complaints and parents have seen huge successes in learning to drink from a cup with this.

Great starter
My son learned to drink from a straw within minutes with this drinking cup. Not only is it cute, but makes the whole process very easy. The child does not need to suck very hard to get water out, and the tiniest squeeze of the bottle makes the water travel up the straw. Its a great learning tool. My only criticism is that when my son threw the bottle, the cover broke off. Not a big deal because it was still usable to cover the straw, its just now a separate piece. Maybe if the plastic hinge was a little thicker, it would be more durable.

Autism mom approved
My son is two years old with autism and no matter what I did I couldn’t get him to drink from a straw. He just wanted to bite it, he didn’t understand to suck out of it like his sippy cups. One of his therapist told me about this bottle and I bought it the same day. He literally got it within 5 seconds of using it and is now only using his toddler tumbler with a straw to drink out of. I threw this bottle away after the first 3 days of using it because I no longer needed it. It definitely did its job and I don’t see it as something you have your kids use all the time. I see reviews complaining about it it leaking or what ever but it’s literally just to get your kids to understand how a straw works it’s not ment to be an everyday cup for them to use for months. It’s worth the buy if you can’t get your kiddo to use a straw any other way.

Very easy to use
These cups are perfect for teaching your little one how to drink from a straw. My only complaint is the straw is a little difficult to pull through the top. It’s easy for baby to hold while you squeeze to help baby drink.

Do not get. Horrible quality.
I’m very dissatisfied with the cup. Dispite the fact it would probably work, I now refuse to use it for my daughter. I bought it and the straw looks like it was just tubing cut and still has writing on it. It smells like plastic and the awful smell doesn’t go away after washing multiple times. I left cold milk in it in the fridge and luckily tried it before giving it to my daughter bc it smelled like plastic and it tasted exactly how it smelled, I had to spit it out. And no it wasn’t spoiled milk. It was the plastic smell/ particles leaking into the milk. I do not see how this is food grade? The paint was also rubbing off the bears nose and eyes.

1 minute with it and my child could use a straw!
This product is AMAZING! It was recommended by an occupational therapist and I cannot say enough good things about it. I could not find a sippy cup my daughter (10 months) would use. I was getting stressed out because my son never had these issues. The weighted straw cups discouraged my son from using straws until he was 2. This bear - this miracle bear. She had it for 1 minute and was drinking out of a straw! The child can squeeze the bear or use the straw like a regular straw. The bear itself lends itself perfectly to small hands and is so easy to use. I will tell everyone about this cup!

My 9 month old learned to drink from a straw in less than 30 minutes!
My 9 month old was still struggling to take a standard bottle or sippy cup and was in speech/feeding therapy and had a tongue tie revision. The speech therapist suggested that this is a solution for some families and we could try it in future sessions. I decided to take matters into my own hands and ordered this. Our little one learned to drink in one mealtime, taking about 3 ounces of milk with just a supportive squeeze from me. A few days later she was able to drink without any extra pressure from caregivers. She had never before managed to drink from a straw, and often spilled anything we tried to "pipette". Since that time she is always trying to get our drinks too! This is the best brand of the two we have tried. We ordered a multi-pack from another company. The plastic is a little firmer, and the straw is harder, the cut of the straw is messier and the straw is almost too tight of a fit to get through the screw-on lid. I wish I had spent that money on more of this Honey Bear from Talk Tools because the quality cannot be matched. The plastic of the bottle is supple has the right amount of give. It feels like it will last longer. The tubing provided for the straw is softer and the ends are smooth as the cuts were more easily and carefully done. The straw tubing provided inserts easily from the bottom of the blue screw-on cap. It slides easily in the hole, so I can even slide it mostly in and close the lid for days when we are on the go and baby doesn't complete her feeding. My infant does seem to be neurotypical, and the only diagnosis related to feeding baby has is posterior tongue tie. Baby was meeting all other milestones and even eats purees - just could not manage to coordinate the tongue to take bottles. I hope this helps other families and therapists considering a honey bear style therapy cup.

The paint is flaking off. I just unboxed it and it’s like this. Very worrying as a baby might just put the bottle in her mouth and I test the paint. For the price, the quality doesn’t match . Kindly assist in replacing or refunding. thanks

It’s very expensive for the quality of plastic. But it does the job and doesn’t leak

The flap broke off easily and how much ever you wash the bottle the water tastes bitter and plasticky .. disappointing
