When it says magnetic, does this mean it will stick to my refrigerator like a magnet?

I don't think so -- it seems to be a metal board covered in a felt-like materials. I use magnets to stick to it rather than it sticking to a metal object, like a refrigerator.

Is this actually magnetic or just metal? I need a magnetic chalkboard for displaying buttons.

It is NOT magnetic. It is simply metal, which normal magnets will stick to. But metal buttons will NOT stick to it. I made this mistake myself.
