I bought this not minding the negative comments, but Straight out of the box, it keeps giving me an error message. Saying it needs fixing, I try to allow it to fix itself, but nothing happens. I can still use it without scanning, but I did the windows disconnect patch, and it still disconnects me every minute, so when watching a movie, it will disconnect and cut off what you are watching. I transferred all my files on this device, i hope i dont loss them in the future because of this error message and scan requirement

I bought this to backup thousands of hours of vacation videos and photographs. Many of which I want to protect for privacy reasons for family etc. Being in tech for years and having tested various types of software for encryption, this device eliminates the use for software. It’s very simple to set up for a primary password and also for a guest password. Setting up both was simple without issue. I would note that you need to press the lock symbol first, enter your code and press the lock symbol again to unlock in Guest mode. I love that it comes in its own case but wish the attached and tethered USB cable was a little longer. Great device, very impressed and will buy another if needed.

Robustes Gehäuse, der Code ist einfach einzugeben. Ideal um Daten sicher zu transportieren, aber auch für Backups, die schützenswert sind.

Rare 5 Star Review!! My review is delayed but I finally opened it and put it to use! Other reviews made me wary that the setup would be difficult but I read through the instructions once over and paid attention to the side notes w/ pics lol before attempting- everything was easy for me. I did a test file before setting my password and again everything was perfect! I copied all files from my computer and it all happened relatively quickly to my surprise! Now I got to work on the phone. I have a feeling I'll have this item with me for a long time and I'm very happy I did my research before purchasing one of these!
