Rustic Genuine Leather Photo Album with Gift Box - Scrapbook Style Pages - Holds 60 4x6 or 5x7 Photos Brown

This is a beautiful, soft leather album. We used it for my Father's 80th Birthday Party. We took pictures of the guests when they arrived with a Fujifilm Instax camera, secured each photo on a page and had the guest write birthday wishes by their picture. There is a light strong tissue separating each page so the photos and writings don't bleed onto each other. The pages themselves are a natural look sturdy page, able to hold the pic without drooping. It was a perfect size for that and is great for a male (not to prissy!). I'm very happy with this purchase and happy my friend recommended Rustic Ridge Leather!

I bought this for my dad. I've been giving him photos of his grandson and I know he's a chaotic man and something like a lose 4x6 photo will just end up in a drawer mixed in with whatever other clutter was bothering him & he wanted out of sight. Not to mention it will keep me from going overboard & giving him a ton of photos.Since he's also a fan of boxes, I thought this would be a perfect combo - and it was.I left it in the wrapping in case he didn't like it, but we opened it today & I was able to feel the quality of it. Very well made, very high quality leather - just an all around nice item.You will need to get the photo corners, as this is just parchment paper (beautiful paper though), with tissue paper in between each page to protect the photos...so not a "ready to go" album - unless you don't mind using adhesive (double sided corner stickies - Pioneer Auto Mounts Dispenser with 350 Photo Mounting Double Sided Self Adhesive Squares - which also would work just fine.

I found this to be beautifully made, but for my use it had a major flaw: no mounting points. I'm sure some people love to tape in their photos which should be flush, but I like to have my photos snug, but removable, so I opted for the photo corners. Well, the two problems I encountered was that 1) they didn't stick all that great. About halfway in they started falling out so I went and got a different brand from Michael's and those started to fall out when I was nearly done. I eventually secured them with a little dab of glue, which was as time consuming as I'm sure that sounds, but worth it. However, when I started to close it I ran into problem number two which was that the way in which the pages are attached to the leather made them already kind of bulky, but when you take into account the extra bulk of the photo corners, the string that is supposed to tie everything up nicely barely makes it around and doesn't really keep it closed. It could just be my experience, but its what I found. After some pruning (artfully done, because if the glue) I was able to get it working the way I imagine its supposed to. When done, it is beautiful, but it's going to take a little patience and customization if you have a lot of photos to save.

I bought this for my mom and filled it with pictures. She is of a certain age that prefers physical photos to digital frames or files. Her first words when she saw this were, "It seems like something that should be an heirloom." The leather on the one I recieved is slightly tanner/lighter and a bit more powdery than I expected. Its more of a suede than a finished leather. As a result this will patina and scratch pretty easily. On the other hand I think that is fine. Its just a very nice gift. The binding is divided into 3 segments, each thick mounting sheet has a sheet of rice paper between. I definitely think front/back photos will swell the size beyond the included box, but not make it so large that it looks unnatural. One photo PER page would not change the dimensions beyond the box at all. I opted for the front/back photo solution (front and back of each page). It looks really nice. I would suggest limiting yourself to 4x6 or 5x7 photos. I dont think other sizes will look that great - you might try to squeeze 2 wallet sizes on one page, but its more a clean look - 1 photo per page - option. Pair it with an acid free photo corner set and some good photo paper and get to work!

Beautiful piece of craftsmanship for anyone who likes something a little rustic. The leather is super soft while feeling strong.The paper is slightly yellow in color and thick with a texture that makes it feel handmade. I didn't look to see if it was when I purchased it, simply fell in love with the look. When it arrived it was perfect.My one concern is that I wouldn't let a toddler play with it as the paper would get destroyed. If you don't deal with small kids, or have a way to keep it out of reach until they're able to control their enthusiasm, then it would be just fine.I bought this as a gift and plan on buying another for my own use.

I am starting a business to sell costumes to: Civil War reenactors and Renaissance Festival participants. These books are more amazing than I knew they'd be because of their rustic charm. I'm glad they come in a box as well. That will help to pack and travel with the books and protect the pictures in them. I love the design.I am trying to take pages out to have room for my cards in the book. Trying to figure out the binding to see how I can put another insert where you had some of the pages. I have some butcher's twine and wax which I think will match your work. I wish you were here to show me how. Jennie/Gwendalyn

This item came in a beautiful box, well packaged and in perfect condition. It was important to me that this was good quality, and it was. It looks handmade, which adds the vintage look to it. Well worth the money I put in for it. I printed off 4X4 pictures, and it fit 1 on each page with enough room for me to write a description next to the picture. Larger pictures will definitely work as well. I recommend this product hands down!

The leather is cheaper than I thought and a lighter tan color vs. the color in the photo. It’s not really a photo album like I thought. Not worth $39
