Perfect for Me
I love this kettle. I bought a copper polish with it and it shined up nicely, looks brand new and I’ve used it every day, multiple times a day, for our French press for about two weeks. I don’t have issues with the handle ever getting hot, the lid comes off fairly easily, I like that it’s secure enough that it isn’t popping off when the water starts to boil, or falling off onto my hand when pouring the water out (had several kettles with that issue). However, it seems like there are inconsistencies with the product and it might not be worth the risk if you are giving it as a gift. Also note that it does state that the inside is nickel in the description even though the title of the item says it is. I like it a lot, it fits with my lifestyle and I am really happy I made this purchase.

This kettle works very nicely, gives a good even pour at just the right distance. It looks so pretty on my stove top. I read all the reviews about all the copper kettles before I purchased this one. I also purchased copper cream to keep it nice in the long run. I'm glad mine didn't come with a whistle, it's convenient enough to set a timer if I need to. A few handy tips that I follow are : Don't use too big of a burner, don't over fill it, don't let kettle run dry while on the burner. I hope to have this kettle for many years, so far I love it!

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE LOOKS!!!
This is the worse teapot I've ever had in my life and I buy Target teapots, not anything fancy! Since we drink tea a lot, I thought it's worth to invest in a nice pot with all the benefits the makers of this piece claimed it had. First, opening and closing the lid is a battle. More often than not, I fail to open the top on my first three tries despite wiggling and pulling and end up punching it down multiple times and try to pull it up while wiggling. The paint on the little round black handle on the lid chipped within a months. Second and probably the most important fact, the inside the pot RUSTED after a few uses and the wash water continues to come out reddish brown, which is probably not so healthy I loved the look of this pot so much that I was willing to give it a chance to work, which made it impossible to return since I used it. Do not buy this product!

I like this kettle, but it's drawbacks outweigh it's features.
To be fair, I will list both the positives and the negatives. I don't like unnecessarily complicated, long-winded reviews, so I'll keep this short and simple.Pro's:- Excellent craftsmanship! This kettle is very well made and it shows.- Because this is made from copper, the water heats up rather quickly.- Arrived in 2 days!-Very well packed.Cons: (there's only 2, but they're big one's)- Lid is very difficult to remove. Not fun when you want to take the lid off when the kettle is hot.- Handle gets really hot to the touch. Especially on the ends where the brass meets the handle. There's no insulation for the handle whatsoever. If these two issues are addressed, this would be a great kettle.

Do your tea kettle research :)
My hubby bought me this tea kettle. I enjoy using it each morning. My lid does stick a little, but I just don't put it on tightly. I did have an issue with the paint on the knob and handle. The company had fantastic customer service and took care of that. As for some of the reviews, this information might be helpful to consider. 1. Copper will discolor over time...especially when exposed to heat. That's normal. 2. The inserted pamphlet clearly states why this solid copper tea kettle is lined with nickel. It has to be lined. Solid copper without a lining has been banned as it can make you really sick. Old kettles without a lining are only for decorative use. I have not researched the safety of nickel yet, but I know that nickel is commonly used for tea kettles. 3. One reviewer stated that tea leaves got stuck in the spout. This is a tea kettle (for heating water) not a tea pot (for steeping and serving tea). You should only be putting water in it. Hope this helps.

sometimes several times per day) so be sure you have copper polish on hand when you receive this in order to keep it looking it's best!
Gorgeous. Just gorgeous. I use it every day to make my morning tea. Pro tip: because this is real copper, it does require regular polishing (I polish mine every two weeks or so since I use it every day, sometimes several times per day) so be sure you have copper polish on hand when you receive this in order to keep it looking it's best!
