UpSurge Rechargeable Mini Speaker with 3.5mm Headphone/Audio Jack, Fuchsia/Pink

Got this cute little pink speaker to match my Kindle Fire HD for when I'm doing yoga or playing music and was very pleasantly surprised at the booming volume increase it gives my Kindle. What a great and affordable little product. I keep it charging so that it's ready to go whenever I need it. It's not Bluetooth but it sits cutely by my pink-cover Kindle and gives me sufficient time working long after I'm finished with my Kindle. For more base, pop up it's little top. Yeah, I'd recommend it. Cute, efficient, long-lasting charge, great sound. What more can you ask out of this cute little accessory?

The kindle, imo, has great sound. I just wanted something that would project the sound if i was doing something in the room and had music/video playing on the kindle. This took the kindle from its natural great sound to awful. The cord had a bad connection with the jack and when i did hold it just right and get sound to come out it was laughable thay this could be marketed as an improvement. The volume was half of what the kindle itself can do even though it uses the kindle volume control. Go figure. No depth just tinny can sound. I cant describe the failure of this product as a purported enhancement to kindle sound. Maybe it is an improvement for phones but im honestly floored by all these glowing reviews. I feel like ive missed something. It is very cute. Anyway, returned.

When I purchased this item I was looking for a mini speaker that would make my Kindle Fire easier to hear. The sound level does not go up but remains the same as if I had not used it.

This is really a difficult review for me. It's a wonderful little speaker if you can get one that works. For me, that was speaker number 3. The first two speakers would not take a charge. Both worked fine if plugged into an active power source, but wouldn't charge. I actually started to wonder if they even had batteries in them or if they were coming from a recycle center and were not properly refurbished. Fortunately, Amazon's return procedure is a dream, especially for someone like me who would almost rather take a beating than return a mail order item. I had UPS pick up the first item and returned the second via a convenient drop box. The third speaker works flawlessly and I have recharged it multiple times without issue. Had the third speaker been defective I was going to formally complain to Amazon. I don't know if they would have paid attention, but you would think they would care about an item that carries their branded Kindle name. So, while I really do love this little speaker, I have a hard time recommending it due to all of the very well deserved negative reviews. If you are willing to take a chance on possible multiple returns, you may luck out and get a good one. I put your chances at 33%

First, I purchased the Kindle Fire HD thinking the stock speakers would sound great. they are just ok so I purchased some headphones which my puppy ate so I decided to go with something less enticing to her , portable, with great sound. I found it, When I play music from the cloud, laptop or Kindle in my kitchen I can hear it through my whole house. Granted my house is small, but for the size of this wow! The sound quality is excellent. I haven't maxed out the volume so I don't know if on max the sound would distort. The base I awesome. This little guy is not tinny which surprised me. The sound is clear no muddling or anything. It's obviously very portable. The only criticism I have, it's not wireless. The chords that come with it are very short so if that might bother you then it might be a deal breaker. I purchased a much longer chord so I could set the speaker on my nightstand and still use it without fear of damage I.e. accidentally bending the USB plugs etc. If this was wireless I'd pay the extra. However, the rechargeable battery is great. I would never buy another item similar to this without being rechargeable. So, all in all its a great little gem, works splendidly and its cute! All the different colors, well pure icing baby! Being, a girl, yes, men, that is important. One more thing, at the office you can plug it in safely as there isn't any drivers needed to charge it from a computer. The volume can be set low enough so it won't bother anyone else. Enjoy!

when I ordered this speaker for my wife, it was out of self defense. She turns on all her little techy music makers and has me listen to the latest song from people I have never heard of on these awfully inadequate speakers they come with. To my extreme disbelief and pleasure, this tiny, techy, Marware product really does the job and sounds great. At least as great as it can be from some of these minimally talented groups she[ gotta luv her ] finds. Thanks so much.

Great little speaker. I listen to a lot of talk radio on my Kindle Fire, but the speaker that comes with the kindle is just grating and difficult to put up with for too long. Music is just awful. However, this mini speaker has improved all that 100%. Granted, it's not a Bose, but it is perfect for me. Charges up easily. Physically, the Marware speaker appears to be weighted at the bottom, and it has three rubber feet that keep it from sliding. In other words, it stays where it is put, and doesn't get knocked over easily.

It's compact, easy to use, and does what it says it will do. It's not quite loud enough to amplify sound for an outdoor party I don't think, but it's great for my purposes.I got it for my 6 year old daughter so she could listen to Pandora in her room from her Kindle Fire. She uses it when she's in the shower too to sing along, and when she's watching movies. Her older sister steals it all the time and uses it with her iPhone. I got pink because well, I have girls but the color helps me find it!Note it has 2 cables. One to attach to the device ans a small USB charger. Make sure to put a tag on these so you know what it goes to! (I use bread bag closure tags)
