I’ve been searching for a phone mounting option for my ‘98 BMW K1200RS and there aren’t many. Even the forums come up pretty empty with options. With this, I was able to use in place of the handlebar mount bolt and it functions perfectly. Seems sturdy and is the right size ball for my application. Pretty simple setup and well thought out design.

I've made hundreds of purchases and never write reviews, but think I can help a lot of people here. I bought this set up for my Harley knowing it came with the m8 bolts. I called Ram and currently they don't make a 5/16 kit for the non metric bikes. Nothing against the metrics, but they are alienating a large market here. Anyway I have apes on my bike and wanted to keep a clean look. I only use one inverted mirror on my left side. So I had an open hole where the right mirror used to be. I then wanted to use the old mirrors acorn nut to match the one on the left mirror. I was able to find a 5/16 with the proper thread for $.98 at the local Fastenal store part number 23826. This is a 5/16-24 x 2-1/2 bolt which will allow you to use this item along with your stock acorn nut in the factory mirror mount location. It looks cleaner and makes it easier since you won't have mix and match bolts if ever dissembling. As far as the x-grip it works great. I was very nervous putting a $1k phone in it, but gradually became more comfortable. It stays rock steady at 70+ mph. I never thought I'd need this, but after a few times getting lost and googling my way on the side of the road I figured I'd give it a try, especially for those trips where I have a schedule. Almost every review I found was for low speed off-road use, bikes with windshields or fairings. This is a true fist in the wind set up and it works.

I bought this for my 2020 Yamaha R3 because it was getting annoying pulling out my phone from my backpack and switching songs. So I got myself a Quadlock mount with ball adapters and also used this. At first, the mount will NOT fit at first... at least it didn't for me, the diameter of the tube that's suppose to go down into the handlebar clamp is way too big so what I had to do was take a metal file and I sat down for 30 minutes filing down the sides in order for it to fit. And so it did! Next, in order to screw this into the handle bar, the screws that come with this WILL NOT FIT! You need to stop by your local hardware store and look for a M6 x 50 mm screw with an allen head wrench! This fit me perfectly and once you have done all that, the part will fit. Overall, i'm very satisfied with this and it's very nice and secure.

Perfect to replace the stabilizer screw on your 2023 zx10 to mount your phone with ram or quad lock ball mounts. Need to remove the original bolt, BE CAREFUL WHEN REMOVING. THERE IS ALSO A BLACK METAL WASHER UNDER THE NYLON WASHER under the stabilizer when you remove the original screw. I ended up having to take off my fenders to find what fell because I was only holding the big white nylon washer. Glad I didn’t need to go further into the bike to find it. I used a 1/4” socket and with a harbor freight cheap t40 security bit and was able to loosen it with a little leverage, and small socket wrench to loosen the original bolt. Secured the middle sized length bolt with some blue loctite, works great.

The ball mount base was perfect for letting me mount a GoPro to the back fender of my Honda Rebel 500. There are already two M8 threads in the fender that I was able to choose from, once I removed the rear seat. It worked out perfectly.
