Sizzix 658500 SophistiCut Die Cut Machine

SMALL, i knew it was small, but didn't know it will on use s template small 4x 5. also it only comes 2 glass plate - not the 3rd plate to give pressure necessary to die cut.its okay. i ordered bigger sizzix and see. peace

It is small and cute but not at all useful because you can only use medium sized dies not thinlits bigz or any other brand dies like you can the bigger kick,vintaj or shot machines,so what is the point? it is a nightmare to look for compatible sized dies. You may find a few but not a great selection,spend a bit more and get a stronger bigger machine that does everything,this is weak at cutting most any media used. I spent a few weeks with this and gave up till my big kick arrived,may as well use scissors instead of this.

Small, narrow sizzix steel wool dies will only fit in this machine."Original" dies are very hard to find, need to order from online, other big name craft stores don't generally carry them. Also does not do embossing.Great to get started with, for some basic cutting, but definitely all these machines are an investment!Thankfully the originals dies don't really cost more than 15 $ each, but they most only have one graphic on it.Down the line, probably will have to get bigger/wider machine bc this will only will cut on paper thats about 3 inches wide.Handle on side of machine cruddy plastic quality, and since that is the main torque needed to push the plate together with the die, the handle should be better quality.Will pay for itself, bc you can cut the image onto several mediums, fabric, paper, etc. if you were to buy each image already embellished at the big name craft stores, eventually you would have to spend much more, at the price of $3.99 per four pieces.Still really can't figure out who other than people that make a ton of cards might use these, this is really just another item to sit on the back of my craft desk.

I bought this because of the size, that was important to me. It cuts various materials as advertised. My only problem is I cannot find original dies suitable for my purpose. There is not a very wide range to choose from

really great item using sizzix originals. no need for big shot and all the preparing...just cut! glad i bought it, even though i have big shot! it saves time!

difficult to find the right cutting dies. I think they must be discontinued. I found a few on EBay. I don't think I will ever get my money's worth out of it.

I would have given this 5 stars, if I wasn't limited to what I could use with this machine. I like everything about it but it's limitations. Now it only serves as decoration in my craft cabinet.

I like this machine but the die cuts are hard to find.
