Great quality camera
I’m absolutely obsessed with this camera! A friend brought it on vacation and got the most amazing pictures, so I immediately purchased it when I got home. The sellers are super helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this product!

Disappointment with 3rd Sony cyber-shot (this one DSC-W330)
Worked fine on one X-C ski venture in GSMNP and at Xmas eve at my son's in GA. It then worked fine on several indoor shots in my home. On 12/29 hike in the GSMNP it seemed to work fine for ~6 shots; then I started having problems. These included fact that camera was not communicating with 4-GB card and that camera internal memory was full. (Doubt if I can ever retrieve those 6 shots for their intended use.) Then camera flat out did not work. Procedures rec'd after calling Sony's help-line 12/30 were not valid; was told to send it in. (Because I am making a presentation at Wilderness Wildlife Week in Pigeon Forge TN on 1/10/11; I had planned to add to my hiking in ice and snow pictures, and X-C skiing ones, in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, I am literally screwed. My prior Sony cyber-shot developed a shutter problem after 1-2 yrs of use; although the one prior to that worked and still is, I now would not recommend Sony to anyone. (I liked to open up pictures on my computer with Windows Explorer; loading Sony's PMB software made that so difficult with this Sony purchase of less than one month that I wondered if it related to the DSC W330's dysfunction.

Great camera for the price and compact!
I went by the ratings and also word of mouth before buying this camera and I actually bought 2 cameras... one Panasonic Lumix 12 MP and this Sony 14.1 MP. Upon first site, the Panasonic appears to be built better. The buttons were larger and the camera was a little heavier. I thought, for sure, I'd keep the Panasonic. Well, after trying both of them simultaneously the Sony took better pictures. The Sony has a Carl Zeiss lense which is a very good lense. Of course, all cameras have brightness adjustments, etc, but the Sony knew when to let more light in when there was not enough light (great for dim light pics). I'm sure the Panasonic could do the same if you want to keep adjusting the lighting, but I want a camera that is going to take great pics with pointing and shooting and this camera does just that. The reason the imaging takes longer to see clearly on the LCD when you go back to view pics, I would assume, is because it is a 14.1 Mega Pixel (a lot of information) at a great price so it takes a 1/4 sec to focus the pic in clearly! I don't mind it. I'd rather have great pics when transporting them onto a computer, viewing them on the computer or TV or printing them. Also, when you go into a photo editor, the clarity is scary. You can see every little detail. If you want to spend another $30 there's also the Sony W350, which will allow for viewing high def videos on your high def TV, but I viewed a video I took with the W330 and the clarity is still great.

Memory card
I ordered this camera to replace my old digital camera and I was super excited for this camera to come. It arrived early than it was expected to and when it comes to the quality of the photos they’re great! I highly recommend the sony cyber-shot. However when I went to swap the memory card that came with the camera with the one I already had it wouldn’t connect. I tried a second memory card incase the issue wasn’t the camera and that one also didn’t connect. Everything else about the camera functions normally, but the camera isn’t able to take photos unless I use the specific 4gb memory card that the camera came with. If the memory card wasn’t an issue this camera would’ve deserved 5 stars.

Sony Cybershot is a great beginners camera!
I really like this camera as a product because it has some appealing features for those who need a camera that is easy to use. With the "Intelligent Auto Adjustment" mode, this camera will automatically figure out the correct setting for the scene you are trying to shoot.Like I stated in the title, I think this camera is great but just for beginners. It is a good price for what it has to offer. This camera is best for parents/grandparents who are trying to capture their family memories, preteens who want their first camera, or just someone who wants camera to bring with them just to have. It is an excellent choice! But for those who are looking for a challenging camera, or are amateur but serious photographers, this isn't the camera for you. Here are the pros and cons I found for myself personally...PROS:-Intelligent Auto Adjustment-Chargeable battery and charger-Excellent video quality-Scene selections-Compact and lightweight-HUGE screen!CONS:-Shutter speed isn't very fast-Isn't very challenging-Limited settings so I was constantly having to change the settings each place I went
