I have a 1, 3, and 8 year old and they all love playing with this sand kit! The sand stays soft and moldable. There is a great collection of toys that are included with it that are so fun to manipulate the sand with and have different functionalities. I like that it all comes in one small box for easy storage. I did end up getting more sand because I just let me kids enjoy themselves and don't worry too much about if the sand gets spilled. The box is on the smaller side for 3 children to use at the same time, but they are usually able to get along. They are siblings, so naturally they sometimes fight over the sand and toys. I really like that the sand isn't sticky! I even enjoy playing around with it. It's pretty cool how it molds easily, but it will crumble when you touch it. It's a great sensory play item. We have only ever used it outside, but it seems like it would be pretty easily to clean up and I would probably let them use it inside if it was rainy and I needed to entertain them so I can have time to myself to get dinner on the table.

Such a great activity that keeps my toddler busy and engaged for hours. Not overflowing with sand, just enough to keep it neat and clean. We added some extra cars per his request and he loves it. Closes up nicely for storage too!

I bought this for my grandson on his 2nd birthday. He will be 3 in one month and this is by far his favorite item to play with. It keeps him challenged for long periods of time.

My 3 year old has had endless playtime with this sensory bin! He sits at the table and keeps the sand in the bin and will play for at least 20 mins every time. If spilled, it’s very easy to clean.

*Out of all the sand sets, this one came with the least amount of pieces. But the reviews were so good about the quality, that I went with the "higher priced/ smallest quantity" set, expecting to pay for that quality. The trucks ARE a little more solid than typical Amazon plastic junk. The other pieces are pretty average. I'm not totally sure I made the right choice, but it is what it is. YOU may want to seriously consider one with more pieces for a similar price. (There's a cool one that has both construction vehicles AND dinosaurs!)*Opening the box, we found one of the little worker guys with a broken tool. My 4 y/o son was thrilled to play with his sand, and loves working with his construction vehicles. So I can't take it away to exchange it for one with all the pieces in tact. We're stuck with the broken guy.*This set comes with 2lbs of kinetic sand. I'm sure that's plenty for the younger kids (maybe 2y/o?) But I'm glad I bought an extra 3lb bag to mix in for my 4 y/o.*Overall, my son absolutely loves his new sand box. He couldn't care less about the broken guy. And since I thought ahead, he has plenty of sand & wasn't effected by the kinda small amount that comes with it. As the one who paid for this, I think 4 stars is plenty (I'd prefer 3.5.)

My soon to be 4 year old boys play with it daily! They love it! It's durable, comes in it's own easy to store case. A hands on activity that keeps them entertained!!

I have a sensory bin and truck OBSESSED son. When I saw this toy, I knew it would be the perfect addition to our playroom and I was right. Since it has arrived he sleeps with it under his bed, wakes up and plays with it BEFORE breakfast and wants to bring it everywhere. When it arrived, the sand was rock hard and I was pretty disappointed and worried I would need to return, however within an hour or so the sand was back to normal kinetic sand consistency without spritzing water like the instructions said - which is a good thing because I do not have a spray bottle handy. I will say sand gets everywhere in my house and the truck has pieces that pop off constantly and my son cries "broken!" until I fix it but I cannot bring myself to give anything other than five stars because of how much he loves it. I think $20 would be a more fair price for what you get, being as I got it for $30 and 25% off and I still think it was a bit pricey but the hours I get to sip my coffee hot and eat are well worth the $30 and I would pay it again.

My son has enjoyed playing with his sister's sensory sand, so I figured we could give him some of his own for his 3rd birthday. When I saw this kit, I knew it would be perfect. Boy, was I right! Oh, my goodness! He has had SO much fun playing with the vehicles and digging ditches and making roads and piling up "rubble." When we first opened the case, I thought that it looked like barely any sand had been included in the set, which was disappointing; however, once he actually started playing, the sand quickly seemed to fill up the box. It's a definitely a decent amount of sand. My little guy isn't always careful about keeping the sand in the container, but since the sand sticks to itself, I've found that it's pretty easy to clean up. One of my favorite features is the lid! I will never understand why more loose children's toys/activities don't include lids. This has a lid that is secured with clips on each side, and there's a carrying handle! Kudos to whomever designed this because s/he thought of everything!
