Nineteen Paperback – March 3, 2020

As a reader who truly enjoyed Makenzie's debut book '2AM Thoughts,' I was counting down the days until the release of 'Nineteen' and it genuinely did not disappoint.This collection of poems is simply fantastic. 'Nineteen' is everything that poetry should embody. It's sincere, raw and enchanting, you'll find yourself struggling to put the book down. It perfectly encapsulates the transition from adolescence into adulthood that every young woman must endure at some point in her life. Makenzie vividly depicts the laughter, joy, sadness, highs, lows, and heartache that comes with the tender age of 'Nineteen.'If you have not already done so, I strongly suggest that you also purchase her debut book '2AM Thoughts,' because it is equally as wonderful.

Really enjoyed this book full of short but deep poems

I absolutely loved this collection of poems. It brought me through so many emotions. For such a young woman, Makenzie has a very deep grasp on the feelings of the heart. I think everyone should read this. It will make you cry and happy at the same time. I am an older woman. It is great for all ages.

I knew I would enjoy it after previously reading 2AM Thoughts, but Nineteen is even better! As a fellow writer and lover of poetry, the words truly captured my heart.I can’t wait to see what comes next!

It is rare to come across a poetry book that leaves me feeling the way Nineteen made me feel. I am currently twenty one and this collection is everything I needed to hear at nineteen. It is full of validation and reassurance that love can be just as magical and infinite as it can be breakable and unrequited. With the wide range of emotions and metaphors, I firmly believe anyone can find a small piece of themselves in this collection. It not only validates your experiences but also encourages you to understand your worth. This collection also perfectly captures the innocence and nostalgia of what it is to be nineteen and have no idea what you're doing in life, and that is okay. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking to be heard and understood.

This is such an amazing book! Definitely definitely definitely recommend, just got it an I’m not disappointed! Saw this on a video for tiktock and ordered it right away, it’s so well written and so touching and emotional. :))
