Great Industrial Design That is More Novelty than Function
As a bar tool, this is not the best measuring device. As a conversation piece, it is an excellent choice.First, a few notes on the actual piece:1. It is bigger than you might imagine. When you think of anything else that measures a shot you think of a thimble sized glass. This is about the size of a Rubiks Cube.2. It is much heavier than you might expect. It feels like it is milled out of solid aluminum. As a result of its size and weight, it like holding a small, metal engine part: somewhat awkward in the hand, but beautifully made. It is also meant to be poured from the corner, much like a traditional wooden box for drinking sake upon which the design is based. But because the measurements are meant to fill liquid to the top and it is square, actually lifting up and pouring it without spilling poses something of a challenge. A work around is to use the next bigger size measurement and not fill it all the way up (eg, the 1.25 oz side to measure out 1 oz). Obviously this means you are approximating your measurements, but if you are mixing a drink being particularly accurate with your measurements is less important than the quality of the liquor or the company. On that note, I would say that the piece is an outstanding conversation piece. Its size, clunkiness, and clean industrial design all add to the coolness of mixing a drink. Definitely gets people talking. In fact, I left it on my desk at the office for a few days after receiving it and no one could walk in without picking it up. Probably couldn't say the same for just a glass the size of a thimble emblazoned with your old college or favorite bar on it.Five stars for cool; one star for pure functionality. Split the difference and you get three.Cheers.

looks great, works terribly
This jigger is the size of a rubiks cube and weighs about 3 pounds. As state on here in an earlier review, it does feel like it is milled out of solid aluminum. It looks great and is a conversation piece but thats about it. For functionality purposes its not worth it. All of the small measurement sides, 0.5oz, 0.75oz, 1oz, are about impossible to pour without spilling half of it. So what I have done is used an awl and punched small divots into the 2.25oz side with at each measurement level. Kinda like a measuring pint that starts at half a cup and goes to 2 cups. All in all great idea, just doesn't function well at all.

60/40 pleased/not so pleased
This product is okay for viewing the actual liquid amount, which pours into the well of its desired measured amount (ie: .50, .25, etc.). Other metal devices are solid and are unable to view the desired measurable amounts. This product does NOT allow an easy, clean pour from the jigger to the glass/pitcher. I call that "Alcohol Abuse" when you waste some of the intended measurement down the side of the jigger, onto the counter top, very messy, and ends up on a papper towel or rag, instead of your drink. It looks cool, but pours really bad.

I would not buy this again.
Pros:Heavy! Could kill a bear with it!Great conversation starter! Tons of topics to choose from! Jane: "It's so heavy!" Frank: "I know! I bet you could kill a bear with it." Jane: "Lets make some drinks!"Easy to cleanGreat for keeping plates vertical in the drying rackGreat for keeping papers from running awayOkey at trapping spidersCons:Because of the way the Jigger is set up, you need a really steady hand to use it, you fill to the edge, and if you are not a surgeon (Full disclosure: I am not a surgeon) you will surely spill your ingredients. Actually, even if you are a surgeon I am guessing you had a few drinks by the time you tried to use this, or were attacked by a bear and need something to take the edge off. In either case, your hands are no longer steady and you will spill.Does not work well as a baseball.

The design is ridiculous
I expected a precision pour, especially for the price. Yeah, it looks cool... but for the price I expected it was more than just the looks. I expected it to be a useful design. I get more fluid on the counter than in the glass every time! At first I thought maybe I just need practice, but no... the design is just ridiculous.

Interesting but Awkward
It looks very interesting and definitely makes for a conversation piece when I have friends over; however, I have found it to be somewhat awkward to use for mixing drinks. The smaller depressions readily spill their contents everywhere but where you want them. I eventually started using this in conjunction with a funnel to account for this tendency.

Good Looks, Poor Function
A fantastic aesthetic design, and sure to provoke some questions about bartending in general. However, the functionality is pretty darn poor; liquid drips down the sides due to a very gradual lip rather than an edge. This wastes liquid, its messy and poor form in general, but a problem when serving something pricey.

Cool idea, points for thinking outside the box
Cool idea, points for thinking outside the box. Problem is, when it's filled, you can't pour it out of a corner without spilling some. It's a very cool paperweight/conversation piece on my bar, but I never use it.
